Got this email. Figured you'd be interested.
My name is Allison Rich and I am webmistress of Daughter of the Night, which is the best Tanith Lee bibliography on the net or anywhere on this planet.
It was brought to my attention that the old Yahoo group called Paradys disappeared and it has not since reappeared.

So, as DotN was the perfect place to host it, I started a forum (it was also, nicely, included in my hosting plan).

    It is now here:

Advice needed: leading a book discussion session
I have been invited to lead a book discussion on Tanith Lee's BITING THE SUN at Orbital 2008 in a couple of weeks. I need some assistance in developing questions and leading a lively discussion. Is anyone interested in helping me bouncing ideas/brainstorming ways to lead this 50 minute session? Please let me know in comments.

Flat Earth series to be re-released and continued.
Norilana Books has announced that they have signed a seven-book deal with Tanith Lee. They'll be reprinting her "Flat Earth" series of books, which includes Night's Master, Death's Master, Delusion's Master, Delirium's Mistress, and Night's Mysteries. They'll also be publishing two new books continuing the series: The Earth is Flat (a short story collection) and Earth's Master (a new novel). Norilana expects to start releasing the books in 2009.

The Captain’s Witch, by Rosemary Hawley Jarman

The Captain’s Witch, by Rosemary Hawley Jarman

I am in the middle of RHJ’s debut fantasy novel. It comes with high recommendation from Tanith Lee, and I can see why. The Captain’s Witch is cut from the same cloth of many TL novels, full of dark magic, eroticism, beauty and terror, all written in a lush, rococo prose style. The plot, which concerns the political rivalry between two kingdoms, is almost archetypical. What I have been paying attention to is masterful villainess Malkar, a wicked and ageless beauty who is host to a vampiric Darkness.

    Greyglass
If you follow her online diary, you'll find that Ms. Lee has several books that she has had problems getting published, because that are not her usual fare. The sypnopsis of some of these works sound intriguing--Greyglass has the most complete write up, included in the back of her small press book L'Amber. It is a shame that she's sort of hit a wall!

I'd also love to see some of her older work, particularly The Flat Earth series, be republished. I know that there was a campaign of some kind to get The Silver Metal Lover back in print. Does anyone have a history or logistics of that process?

    Selling Tanith Lee books
    my ebay sales

There are two Tanith Lee books on the list. Both Daw books. Drinking Sapphire Wine is the sequel to Don't Bite the Sun but most newer editions just publish both books together since it's one storyline anyhow. The cover is cool though.

    Quest for the White Witch
I just finished reading this book and with all Tanith Lee books I enjoyed it immensely. Only I'm confused by Vazkor spending most of his time playing the holy man and political manipulator. It seems like she wrote him to be as disdainful of the political process as his mother, yet he tends to go all out to turn things his way. Is she trying to foreshadow the incest? Give Vazkor a friend in the inept and ultimately weak Sorem? Or was she just get sidetracked and ended up writing an entirely different novel and only after everything goes to hell does she resume the story of Vazkor going to find his own mother.

Any thoughts? I love this book and I love the whole Birthgrave series (actually I thought Vazkor, Son of Vazkor was stronger than most think since that's the one where he really goes through the heroic journey from dope to human being) but I felt almost cheated by the whole Machiavellian novella in the middle.

Another Tanith Lee list on Amazon

Not the best I could do. I'm not happy with some of the stuff I included or excluded. But might as well go and give it a helpful vote regardless.

I liked this survey. Stolen frm Helen.
    Name: Jenni-Lois
    Location: Calgary, Alberta
First Lee book purchased: Given to me. Dark Dance. It is still my favourite to this day. Just the image of the girl in the fog, and the hearth.... I honestly cannot say what the first book I purchased was. The majority of them were given to me in the first few years. Though I think "When the Lights go Out" might be the first one I bought myself.
Most recent Lee purchase: Mortal Suns, Here in Cold Hell, Black Unicorn.
Favourite Lee novels: When the Lights go Out, Blood Opera, Gorgon, Red as Blood. L'Amber
Favourite Lee characters: Hesta. Skilt. Azrhran
Favourite Lee short stories: All of them. Meow being the favourite, Room with a Vie, The Princess and her Future.
Why I adore Lee's work: I prefer her newer stuff. I like the fantasy element with the here and now. I like the strong female characters. Just everything. I like how I picture even the fine details of what the characters rooms might look like, even the clothes that they wear.

    Arthur's Lion, by Tanith Lee
Currently available in Weird Tales, "Arthur's Lion" is one of Lee's tales of the quiet supernatural. Imagine a Twilight Zone episode without the angst. The first person narrative an antiquated feel--could have happened in the 30s or 40s, and the climax is rather gentle. In the end, it's meditation about aging and fear. It's warm and folksy.

June 5, 2006 The Mythopoeic Society finalists
passing on info from my e-list:

    Literary & Scholarship Awards

The Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Adult Literature is given to the fantasy novel, multi-volume novel, or single-author story collection for adults published during the previous year that best exemplifies "the spirit of the Inklings". Books not selected as finalists in the year after publication are eligible for a second year. Books from a series are eligible if they stand on their own; otherwise, the series becomes eligible the year its final volume appears.

The Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Children's Literature honors books for younger readers (from "Young Adults" to picture books for beginning readers), in the tradition of The Hobbit or The Chronicles of Narnia. Rules for eligibility are otherwise the same as for the Adult literature award. The question of which award a borderline book is best suited for will be decided by consensus of the committees.

The Mythopoeic Scholarship Award in Inklings Studies is given to books on JR.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and/or Charles Williams that make significant contributions to Inklings scholarship. For this award, books first published during the previous three years are eligible, including finalists for previous years.

The Mythopoeic Scholarship Award in Myth and Fantasy Studies is given to scholarly books on other specific authors in the Inklings tradition, or to more general works on the genres of myth and fantasy. The period of eligibility is three years, as for the Inklings Studies award.

2006 Award Finalists Press Release: June 5, 2006 The Mythopoeic Society is pleased to announce the finalists for our 2006 awards, nominated and chosen by Society member committees. This year's award winners will be announced at the banquet held during The 37th Annual Mythopoeic Conference (Mythcon 37), August 4-7, 2006, at the University of Oklahoma campus in Norman, Oklahoma.
