This board is for residents and near-residents of Tallahassee to discuss life and local events.

So far, there are only six rules:

1) Don't post phone numbers. We have no way of knowing that the phone number you're posting is actually your own. This rule simply prevents people from posting phone numbers in order to harrass others.

2) All quizzes more than five lines long and any sizable posts must be folded using the <lj-cut> tags. Use your intelligence for this one. No one likes to scroll through the great american novel.

3) Be respectful to the readers of this community. This is the most important rule. Unless you have a sub-room-temperature IQ, you know what it means to be respectful. Sometimes, you fly off the handle and forget how to be respectful, but that's what apologies are for.

4) Have fun. Failure to enjoy yourself will result in summary termination of your life.

5) No cussing in your posts. People of various ages read this.

6) These rules may be amended at any time, without warning.

You will receive one warning before being banned.
If you wish to debate the reason that you have been warned or banned, you may do so via email.
We (sam walters and blake bailey, the moderators) believe in second and often third chances. Often the banning is simply to stop a flame war and force the discussion where it belongs: email or a personal journal.

We do not always have time to read every single comment, so please feel free to bring it to the attention of beetlebailey should someone leave inappropriate comments in your posts or being bothersome.
