[October 16, 2008 @ 6:36am] silver_lined Ahh, so I have almost recovered entirely from the plague! :D Which is gleeful for me because skjdhjawe plague. Or, you know, a kinda very bad cold. :| But all the same - I spent almost two weeks being toxic and being forced to go to work anyway, spreading disease to little elderly people. :| I hate disease. This said, I got the weekend off because I am minorly toxic. :D Working in a casino, even though I'm affiliated with the food and beverage part and not the actual casino itself, is sort of soul destroying. It makes me feel really really terrible to walk through it because casinos sort of ruins peoples lives. Ahhh, social guilt complex. XD; That don't even pretend to be not evil and for someone that has... worked for evil all her life, this is a bit... it feels worse than working for Nova. Even though Nova was a pretty awful place, you enjoyed the people there and knew the people liked you also. In a casino, it's just soul destroying guilt. I really really hate it. :D :Db Meanwhile, when my eyes have focused enough, I've been writing terrible fic. I am almost completed with je_holiday though ohgod, ficgames. ;; So behind on ficgames. It kinda makes me glad that the word limits are so low because I get bored otherwise. :D Ahh, world. In other, other news: Tone Deaf Test. 91.7%, baby. Not bad for someone who is so tone deaf it hurts. XD I can't tell the difference between most pop songs from the same group. Tackey&Tsubasa's voices, except for a minor pitch difference, sound almost the same to me - I can only do Kinki because it's stupid obvious with Tsuyoshi's rolling timbre and Koichi's somewhat thin restraint - and NewS, I have to concentrate really, really hard. TegoMass are easiest, Shige's deeper, Pi has this weird style of slurring or uh, swallowing his consonants and Ryo is just so very YEAH YEAH YEAH and Koyama sounds like a majorly unpolished Massu with the nasal but higher pitched. :| This said, I had to do the test in a silent room and listened with my eyes closed because ahaha, concentrating. ;; It's pretty damned long and you start losing concentration about a quarter of the way through, but it's fun! I came back from school at about 2 oclock, and I was supposed to do some studying. I just woke up a little while ago, and the time is just about 4:30 in the afternoon. ^^;;; I'd fallen asleep on top of my books, so I had some serious cramps in my right arm as I woke up; I was still holding the pen, too. ^^;;; Yesterday, after school, I also fell asleep on my bed when I'd came hoe from school. And it's not like we have very long or tiring days, so I think I might still be sleep-deprived. ^^;;; The first week was crazy what with all the running around, trying to find the time to do EVERYTHING at once, before lady_eleihna was supposed to go back to Sweden. And now, the time after that, I think I have yet to realize that this isn't just a 2 weeks vacation... because I still don't feel like I have enough time to sleep. So I don't! ^^;;; Not even during the weekends I've been able to sleep for as long as I'd like, as I've had concerts to attend every single day! XD I've had to set my alarm clock Every Single Day since I got here... I need sleep soo bad! =__= Maybe tonight I will finally be able to go to bed early? Keep your fingers crossed! XD There is a Johnny's-fan in my class, by the way. She's from France and seems really sweet! Her favorites are kanjani8; Ryo is her ichiban. But it seems like she loves all of Johnny's? It's not just ordinary cooking - I was cooking stuff I'd never cooked before, and the biggest irony was, I was teaching my maid how to do it. So yes, I just cooked it purely based on smell, taste and intuition. XD But HEY, it tasted alright okay, and one of them is going to be my signature dish in future. Giong cong gai. ♥ In sadder news, Piano Style was SOLD OUT. What in the world, it just came in LAST NIGHT! >:( I wasted a trip down to Orchard, though I did get a really good (and expensive ;_;) lunch from Da Paulo's as recommended by my colleague. Cheesy potato gratin in cream! After Sunday and today, I'm not touching cheesy lunches for sometime. And to a certain you, I hope you're feeling better dear! ♥ Comment
