It doesn't have anything directly to do with Yamada, but the movie that he was a part of, MW, was also turned into a book, and I am currently translating it for any of you who are interested. The first chapter is completed, and I'm working on the second, where Yamada's character comes up. For me, I opted not to read the manga for the sole purpose of keeping these very handsome actor's faces in my mind while reading the book.  Please take a look at it. You can find it here.

Takayuki Yamada interviewed for the movie MW. Sadly i don't understand what the lovely man is saying but i enjoy every minute of him talking haha. I really don't see him in many interviews but this one is great, just being able to see his expressions and stuff. Just wanted to share it just in case you hadn't seen it. :D enjoy!

Takashi Miike's remake of Thirteen Assassins that was announced in May now has its main cast revealed. The titular group of thirteen killers will be led by actor Koji Yakusho. The rest of the assassins are being played by Hiroki Matsukata, Yusuke Iseya, Takayuki Yamada, Tsuyoshi Ihara, Arata Furuta, Ikki Sawamura, Sousuke Takaoka, Masataka Kubota, Seiji Rokkaku, Kazuki Namioka, Koen Kondo. Filming started on July 5 in Yamagata and is scheduled to continue until as late as September. The movie is set to open in theaters next year.

Yamada as samurai!! I can't wait to see him :)~

FM Cinema is a radio show that goes on every Saturday night @24.00
Talks about movies being screened currently in theaters, and has actors as guests.
This time (2009.07.12) it was Yamada Takayuki's turn for MW.

According to mainichi.jp and nikkansports.com, during the greetings session for Kamogawa Horumo on Saturday, 04.18, it was announced that the movie will also have a US release.
No further info is yet available.

Edit:
Release date still not decided, but apparently sometime next fall.
Cities scheduled for a Horumo screening include San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York.

Actor Takayuki Yamada (25) has been cast in the upcoming movie "Oarai ni mo Hoshi wa Furu Nari," directed by Yuichi Fukuda ("33-pun Tantei"). The film is an adaptation of a 2006 play produced by Fukuda's theatrical troupe, Bravo Company.

The story is set at the beach in winter, where seven quirky men are competing for the affection of one "madonna." As their efforts unfold, various truths about the men come to light. The colorful cast includes a shark maniac and a "choiwaru oyaji" (a middle-aged man who is a bit of a bad boy), as well as Yamada's character, a young man named Sugimoto. Sugimoto is a narcissist, believing that he is the only man who suits the "madonna." But as the plot progresses, it is discovered that Sugimoto has been peeking into her mail every day, making him seem like a stalker.

The complete cast has not yet been announced. "Oarai ni mo Hoshi wa Furu Nari" is expected to open in the fall.

Yesterday I read somewhere about fans saying that he was taking horse riding lessons for his next movie. Yamada, beach, sunset, horse riding.. <3
