You see I found out on Thursday last that I'm giving a presentation on Saturday at the Kennedy Center for a conference I didn't think I was going to, so I have a great deal of procrastinating to pack into a very small amount of time)

Tani chan will debut as a musical actress in "Curtains" next February. She plays an actress who is a love interest of a detective (hero in the show). While I'm happy she already has a major role in a new musical, I think it's miscast. I've seen Curtains (try out version in L.A.) and this role should be played by Ume rather than Tani. I hope Tani will surprise me.

Is there, by any chance, a translated script for The Scarlet Pimpernel?  I'm afraid my Japanese is limited to the few words, phrases, and varied sentence structures I can remember from a Japanese II class I took a couple years ago. :P

My DVD came in yesterday, and I watched Act 1 last night.  Needless to say, I had goosebumps, especially during Yuzuki Reon's scenes.  I was excited to watch it for Touko, but Chie took me by surprise.  Her voice and presence were magnificent and her control of the character was captivating.  Can't wait to watch Act 2. :3

My sewing machine broke a few days ago, meaning that it's time to take a look through my Takarazuka collection and see what I can stand to get rid of.

Great condition DVD of Hanagumi's production of Phantom of the Opera, in which Haruno Sumire plays Erik.

DVD case has no marks or creases, postcard/dvd instructions & glossy show booklet still present in mint condition, both dvds have been played only a few times, and remain in the proper condition of dvds played only a few times. Money will be returned (after return of dvd) if you are not satisfied, no problem. Just be sure to contact me within the first few days of receiving it. =)

Incidentally, the 95ths who made it into Cosmos - are they performing in that show or starting with the next one? I can't tell from the Takawiki.

I don't suppose anyone has a script translation of the Rose of Versailles: Oscar show, do they?

I have the gist of the plot, but it'd kinda be nice to know the details.

Here's the online version. It seems to be only the international edition, so I don't know where/if Americans could see this in print.

There's not a lot of new content that people here wouldn't already know; it covers the standard comparisons to Kabuki, mostly-female audiences, and of course zomg teh glittars. But the last few paragraphs have some interesting mini-interviews with Okada Keiji, Rei Makoto (in her first year) and an anonymous "head of production".

Hey guys!
To start off with I want to apologize if I ramble or sound off, I jetlagged and too tired to think. I was gonna leave writing this 'til tomorrow but I just can't. :P I'd also really like to thank all of you who've been so friendly and helpful to me the last couple of months, I really appreciate it. ^_^

Does anyone have the full version of Ache, the 20th Century Passionate Play that celebrated Wataru's being totally hot and awesome longstanding musical career.

I've seen the multiple, er, highly dubious clips on Youtube between her and Saeko. As much as I love watching all the sketchiness, I'd also like to see some more of the clips. Specifically, I want to see more of Wataru as an otokoyaku, since I think she was stronger in that role. [My GF's comment on watching the duet between Saeko and Wataru: "I saw a hot chick and...some guy (meaning Wataru) was in the way].

A translation would also be nice. I'm willing to send whatever I have the way of the translator/DVD holder, though I don't have much Takarazuka stuff. I have the full Wien Elisabeth set, ordered from Austria, if you want to come to Boston to watch it. :D

(Edit: And this, after the porn-prevention measures were taken off. A coincidence, I swear!)
