The Academy Is... Book Club


We aren't going to really have rules, just some guidelines that we would appreciate everyone following:


1. Respect other peoples opinions. The purpose of a book club is for people to share their opinions on a book. Don't get upset if someone doesn't like the book you suggest, but please have more of an opinion then "it sucked". Things will work out much better if you give reason why you didn't enjoy the book rather then just a few words saying it was bad.


2. If we can't get a list of books from the band (by next weekend) we will put putting up a poll with different genres of books. You will be able to vote on the genre you want to read. Once we have the genre chosen we will make a post where you can recommend books of that genre for everyone to read. I will go over the rules on this once the post is made.


3. We haven't decided on how long to give to read the books. I was thinking either 2 weeks to read the book and then the discussion post for a few days then selecting the new genre/book posts. If you think we need longer feel free to comment and let me know what you think.
