About
COMMUNITY FAQ AND RULES1.) Some material on this site may be offensive to you and as such, please make sure to read all warning labels before clicking on a story to read. The nature of this community is TABOO FANTASY STORIES so be prepared to find stories that may make you uncomfortable to read. 2.) You may post fics, artwork (icons/avatars, banners/headers, manipulations, wallpapers etc.), mood music fan mixes and fan videos. We consider these inspiration for authors and as such, they are all welcome here at TSFS. If they pertain to a story or a would be story, even better. And hey, if you feel the need to challenge a fellow poster with a personal art to fic banner challenge--we will be running our own TSFS art-to-fic challenge, too--even better! 3.) All posts must be under a cut with the proper label information. 4.) No plagiarizing or posting other’s work without their permission. If we find you doing this you will banned from the community! In the same vein, do not flame an author or reader for their choice of stories or views of Spike and Buffy. Everyone sees the couple differently and that doesn't make them right or wrong in their view, just different from how you see them. Please respect that when posting a response or feedback. 5.) If there is underage sex (16-17 years of age… any younger is NOT allowed), rape, bdsm, incest etc. please post them under warnings as well as the proper ratings. Also, please be sure to label all art work with either worksafe or not worksafe. 6.) Be generous, constructive and respective with your feedback for authors and artists. They’ve worked hard to share their creations with you so please be mindful of that when posting feedback to them. No flaming or rudeness allowed. If you’re caught doing this, you will be warned and/or banned depending on the severity of the offense. 7.) Make sure you use the proper tags in your posts. 8.) All fic must be beta read before posting. If you do not have a beta reader, place a help wanted post on our Wanted: Beta Reader thread. 9.) Please post all stories and graphics to the community and avoid outside links. 10.) Do not take community graphics or stories and post them as your own or post them with proper credit without first obtaining permission from the orginal creator of the work. 11.) During themed ficathons, members are still allowed to post other stories here at Taboo Spuffy. We are choosing not to restrict story posting here as we want to give our members more to read when they come to our LJ. Consider the ficathons our way of getting more inspiration to the muses and thus, also to you, our members. 12.) If you are entering a Taboo ficathon, you will receive a personalized banner and/or icon once your story is posted as our way of saying thank you for participating in our quest to get more Taboo Spuffy Fantasy stories written. 13.) All stories posted for the ficathons must be original and must deal with some form of fantasy kink within it. The whole purpose of the ficathon is to have NEW fic to read so please refrain from reworking old stories and posting them as a ficathon submission. 14.) If you are entering a ficathon, please post FICATHON in your subject header. This is so we will know you have posted your Taboo fic submission. POSTING INSTRUCTIONS1.) Make sure you are logged in to your Live Journal account and that you are on the community page you wish to post in (in this case, Taboo Spuffy Fantasy Stories) 2.) At the top of the page, you should see a bar that on the left has your usersname/journal name and says home, post, friends page and has a LogOut button. In the center, you should see You are a member of this community, taboo_spuffy, and underneath that you should see the Post to this community link… this is what you use to post in the different communities pages you have joined 3.) Click the post to this community link and the Post An Entry page pops up. You can change your default user icon if you need to or leave it the same, that’s up to you. 4.) In the Subject line, put Fic title by YourUserName and then if it has 1/1 chapters or 1/2 or 1/?? Chapters you’d post that as well 5.) For the body, you can copy and paste your fic directly from MS Word if you use that. Make sure you have the right posting headers included at the top of your fic, though. You can find a template for those below. Then your story will follow below the header and if you use word, it will automatically format when you post. All you need to do is right click in the body part of the posting entry, it will pop up with a box to copy/paste from word, just paste your story there and hit ok and it will appear in the post an entry body box. 6.) Now you need to place the body of your story behind an LJ cut. You do this by selecting your story text and clicking a button at the top of the posting menu, where you see the B for bold etc. If you follow the line you will see a black and red line button for LJ Polls, the button to its right has lines and a squiggly line beneath that, that’s what you use to do an LJ cut. Click that button, a bar will appear at the top of your browser and when you click it, it will say temporarily allow scripted, click that and then type in whatever you want your cut to say, such as Fic title 1/1 or whatever or just leave the read more… and hit ok or whatever that says there. Once that’s done, your story text will appear in a grayed highlight thingy and you’re ready for the next part. 7.) For the posting Tags, see below. Hit preview to see what it will look like, then you can close the preview box and hit the post to taboo_spuffy button. If it doesn’t post right, don’t worry, Mari and I can fix it for you from there, if need be. POSTING GUIDELINES1.) All fic, fanart and fan videos should be labeled clearly and with the proper ratings and warnings. 2.) All story text, fanart and fan videos must be placed behind an LJ cut, teaser photos of fanart will be allowed but only if they are smaller than 400x200. No more than three icons should be placed above any cut. 3.) AU/AR fics are more than welcome but please make sure you label them correctly. 4.) If you would like to pimp a community, please get in touch with a mod by email first. We are always looking for new affiliates, but we would like to refrain from flooding our posting pages with requests for it. 5.) No Hotlinking to any image you find within this LJ.
