So its officially summer and you know what that means! no no, not beaches, barbecues and part time jobs. It means MORE TIME FOR VIDEO GAMES of course! and what better video game to slave away at then a final fantasy title huh? so these next 10 songs are my all time favorite tracks and will be divided into peaceful and epic categories.
[Peaceful] 1. Breezy (FFVIII) www.sendspace.com/file/hw3z3l I have to admit, FF8 didn't really sit too well with me. the story was too, "high school drama" for me, but dont get me wrong its an awesome game! unforgettable characters and a very unique setting make it all worth it regardless. This song always stuck with me because it was so relaxing and just kind of makes me want to sit around and forget my troubles.
2. Crossing Those Hills www.sendspace.com/file/q1s9vc Another confession, never finished FF9. i played a little bit through the first disk but never brought myself to stick it out any further.. well summer is here so i guess i have that chance now =). anyways this song is an AMAZING overworld song. i used to just pause the game to listen to it because it carried me away even more so then breezy.
3. Eternity, Memory in Lightwaves (FFX-2) www.sendspace.com/file/llgq12 yeah yeah i know say what you will about 10-2 i know i've heard it all before. but there is no denying that this song is beautifully done for someone who... well who isnt nomura haha.
4. Rikku's Theme (FFX) www.sendspace.com/file/113jhc Probably my favorite song on this list, it only appeared once in the entire game but i just love the way it sounds, its just so care-free and makes me want to go on vacation. nao.
5. Under The Apple Tree (Crisis Core FFVII) www.sendspace.com/file/7a9x8r Ugh i just got my hands on this one not too long ago. even though everyone knows what happened at the end, it didnt stop me from crying manly tears... heres to you, zack!
[Epic]
1. Demon Sword (FF Unlimited) www.sendspace.com/file/old8r1 yeah im ashamed for watching this entire anime you dont have to tell me, but this song helped make the finale worth watching, honestly!
2. Fight With Seymore (FFX) www.sendspace.com/file/p8c53g FF10 was the first one i had ever played so i was in awe from the soundtrack up until this fight with seymore. it was just so, different.. i was intrigued with this change in style and thought it might have been a remake from an older title but apparently it wasnt. anyways the song is great i like how it changes things up in the game.
3. Other World (FFX) www.sendspace.com/file/1xd82h So as you can see i liked the music in 10 the most haha. last one i promise! so the opening theme and (pretty much) final battle theme. during the opening scene this fit the mood perfectly and from that moment i was sucked into Final Fantasy fandom. hearing it again at the end of the game as a boss theme made that battle so much more satisfying too x)
4. Grand Cross (FFIX) [Black Mages] www.sendspace.com/file/qnu0rz at first i didnt really like the black mages but their boss battle re-makes are truely amazing! as i said before i havent completed this one yet but if this song is any indication of how hectic the game gets im definitely in!
5.Dancing Mad (FFVI) [Black Mages] www.sendspace.com/file/98573j ok i saved the best for last here! a lot of people actually enjoyed 6 more then ANY other FF, personally 7 was mine, but i'll admit.. this song is the most epic song in any FF hands down! (yes even more then one winged angel, well.. maybe not the advent children version ) i know any fan will love this epic 12 minute battle theme. enjoy =)
P.S. if you guys want certain songs i can add them later in comments if i have them

Before you hit those links you should know a little bit about "Chiptunes". Essencially, they are original tracks made from video game music processers and can now lightly be found in any music editing program. These sounds can range from any Retro system given its own music processor and the main targets are the NES, SNES, Game Boy, Genesis, Atari Consols and basically any system before the last few generations. So now that you know what your getting yourself into, go wild!
1. Twin Chevron Action Flash (Tour Remix) Sabrepulse was the first chiptune artist I had ever heard, i didnt even know the genre exsisted but when i heard his music i was amazed at what people were doing with it! This song is awesome!! I could listen to it forever. The most unique thing about this song is that theres actually singing in it, which i personally have never heard before. I can understand why you would'nt have singing in chiptunes but the way its exicuted here is flawless and im sure it'll be a favorite of your collection as well.
2. March of the Nucleotides - Bit Shifter This one is Really Peaceful and its kinda like a techno version of some kinda magic/ forest type game its got all the back up sound effect and slows down at parts, overall a very good song.
3. Potager - Mister Electric Demon Not one of my favorites but maybe you'll enjoy it a bit more, its pretty short and has that kinda crusin' feel that makes you just wanna enjoy a nice stroll down the park.
4. The Future Man Can - Kangaroo MusiQue This one is a bit interesting, i really am at a loss of words to describe it but its a nice tune, not too crazy, not too slow. It should be mentioned that this band does not suit my tastes. This song in particular stood out to me so i would reccomend getting a second oppinion before going off to buy their albums, but you may love them, who knows
5. Blackout City - Anamanaguchi Anamanaguchi, arguably one of the best chiptune artists and my 2nd favorite! And for good reason. This song is super energetic and its very unique because it implements a nice use of electric guitar throughout the song but not too much as to change the genre, its one of my favorite songs to listen to anytime, anywhere.
______________________________ Bonus. Here There - Locksley Gahhh I cant get enough of locksley, it took some time to grow on me but once i heard the album everything just came to me at once, I beleve there was an artical naming the band a kind of "Beetles" for this generation and i couldn't agree more. Their music has that classy 60's type spunk to it (yeah, spunk) and i had to share with you guys because for some reason there still pretty widely unknown. A new album will be coming out in the near future so i highly reccomend checking it out.
You know what, check out their old album too! (Don't Make Me Wait)

1. Muse - Coma (alt. rock) This band has grown on me so much within a few days. i always thought they were good and everything but when you listen more you just love them more and more. this song is really up-beat and a lot of fun somewhat similar to music by "the pillows". www.sendspace.com/file/eqk9i6
2. Beck - Hotwax (alt. jazz) Beck has there on and off days. this one is definitly on! what attracted me to this song was the futuristic kind of jazz that brings back flooding memories of cowboy bebop and i crave a cig every time i hear it. around the middle it goes to a bit of a weird place but it brings it back soon. the end goes a little off course too but i hope you'll enjoy it enough. www.sendspace.com/file/pl1f8t
3. Cute is What We Aim For - Doctor (modern rock) I LOVE this band! they are widely unknown but they have 2 great albums and you should definitly check them out. this song is full of energy and i didnt pay much mind to it until i was driving one day and i accidently blasted the music after a long conversation on the phone and it was awesome. www.sendspace.com/file/2m7wd0
4. Paramore - Thats What You Get (rock) Hooray for Rockband2! This was one of my absolute favorites to play on expert drums and i had crushcrushcrush for 1 so i was sold after 2 good songs for the game. This song is awesome it gives you a kind of cool/ relaxed feeling when you listen but still kind of energetic. its hard to explain, just listen. female vocalists FTW. www.sendspace.com/file/8120wj
5. The Pillows - Funny Bunny (jrock) I may have posted this before in my "obsessed with anime" phaze before but who cares. this song rocks my socks. anyone who has watched FLCL knows the musical genious behind the pillows is really life changing. this is one of the more depressing songs but its still up-beat and makes you want to smile in the rain =) www.sendspace.com/file/f8n1e8

Remember when I said it was going to be a rough year? Yeah. Sorry I haven't been around enough to upload even once a month *shot*. So there's been a lot of changes for me since August (?!?) the last time I uploaded. Wow, that was a long time ago. So now, it's time for the annual winter-themed rotatation!
NOTE: I changed over to Media Fire, since savefile doesn't like my new Mac computer. As a matter of fact, a lot of programs don't like my Mac O_o. Ah well.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra- Christmas Canon- For me, it isn't Christmas without this song. It's got a children's choir singing along with instrumentals of "Canon in D". It's a really festive song :)
Nights: Journey into Dreams OST- Dreams Dreams (Sweet Snow) (Instrumental)- NIGHTS was a pretty awesome game on the Sega Saturn. It had some pretty awesome music for its time and I waited for a sequel for years. And the sequel didn't turn out to be not so hot unfortunately, but the new version of this song made for Journey into Dreams is perfect for Christmas!
BREAKERZ- Winter Party- Remember Daigo Stardust? This is his new band. It seems he's gotten incredibly popular amongst the Japanese teenagers (girls really), according to Oricon Style's web site. I wonder how he managed to get so popular...anyways, this song is opposite of their summer single "Summer Party". It's definitely winter themed.
Schwarz Stein- Frozen Past -raze-- I haven't listened to techno in a while. It's got some pretty awesome acoustic guitar in the beginning. I actually want to listen more to this group, even though I know they've been around for awhile.
As always, don't forget to comment! Aeiji breathes comments~ :)

VNV Nation Rotation!
Yes, that's right. An entire rotation featuring VNV Nation. Who is VNV? You can check them out at their website or just take my word for it. They're incredible.
VNV Nation - As it Fades Sad, mellow... This track is instrumental but you can still feel the setting. Sorrow, loss maybe. Like watching a great hero fall.
VNV Nation - Beloved You might have heard this song before. It's been uploaded here on T0nedeaf more then once I think. But that doesn't mean it doesn't deserve to be revisited again. I've heard more then one remix, and while I enjoy the Deine Lakaien mix, nothing compares to the original. A song about a past love.
VNV Nation - Carry You A more upbeat song, telling you to keep going. Even though everything seems dull and regretful, there is a future!
VNV Nation - Chrome I've been told that this song is simply amazing when performed live. And I can believe it. Chrome is a strong song about the corrupt power we stand against. And how sometimes it doesn't even know it's corrupted.
VNV Nation - Darkangel What do you think someone who came to help us would say? Would they rejoice, or find our lives bitter for our willingness to live the way we do? Sung from the prospective of a Saviour.
VNV Nation - Endless Skies Now for a slow song to break up the pounding of the last five. Listening to this song gives me a feeling that it's a kind of love song. Maybe it really isn't, but it seems touching and pure.
VNV Nation - Forsaken (Vocal Version) RECOMMENDED Instead of telling you my thoughts on this song, let me tell you what Rowan of VNV Nation had to say. There is a story behind this song which should be made known. There were no words for this song until it was first performed at the Lamm in Durmersheim, Germany at the start of the tour with Covenant in April 98. It was entirely improvised from feeling that night. Each night on the tour the words were different but retained a small number of core lines. Those who have seen it performed live will know the emotion with which it is sung. It is not an easy song to sing other than live which is why the vocal version never appeared on "Praise the Fallen".
So many people shared with me the personal meaning that the words to this song have for them. I decided to record it for the Solitary EP as my way of expressing thanks to those who asked for it. The result is something of which I am very proud
VNV Nation - Holding On Another slow song, Holding On is a sad story that most people can relate to sometime or another in their lives. "I'll believe in you if you believe in me but I have no trust in anything somehow I'm always, always falling over me"
VNV Nation - Secluded Spaces And yet again, another slow song! This song is nice, and makes me want to fall asleep with it playing. Ambient and drifting, even when we are alone... maybe we're not by ourselves.
VNV Nation - Standing (Still) Ending on a medium note, this last song is a remake by the band themselves. It's not as fast as the orginal, nor so mellow that it'll bore you to tears. I'm fond of Standing.
So ends another rotation! You guys might not appreciate this selection, but widening your tastes in music is a good thing to do. Oh yeah, please be sure to comment!

Heh. Yeah. Um....maybe not really? But yeah, I've been super busy at my new job and they're giving me like, 20+ hours a week (even though I'm just a part-timer). But that's probably going to change (or is it?!) when I start school this month. Ew. Well, it is my last year (or is it?!) of college so it's going to be a rough year. Still, plenty of fun times to be had. And new mooziks for people :)
--Click on the titles to download--
Kanon Wakeshima- Kuroi Torikago- The b-side to her Still Doll single. It's pretty dark, but not as dark as Still Doll. It's a little more lively but you can hear the beautiful cello in the background :)
Monoral- Tuesday- I didn't plan this rotation right so it's not really Tuesday anymore XD. ANYWAYS, it happens that Monoral is actually a Japanese indies band. I don't believe them, their English is too good lol.
A-mei- Hostage (Ren Zhi)- The first time I heard this song, it was on the now-defunct MTV Chi. The music video is very simple, just A-mei and some sepia-toned lighting. I don't know Mandarin but it sounds very pretty~ But maybe a little sad somehow...
Michael Buble- Can't Help Falling in Love- I don't know why, but Michael Buble is awesome :) He sort of reminds me of Frank Sinatra...well, he covered some of his music but still. This is yet another version of Elvis' famous song.
Sex Machineguns- Famiresu Bonbaa- Don't ask me why they called it that. The song itself doesn't really make sense either...but it's all done in heavy rock Sex Machineguns style. I can't believe this band is still around either. If anyone's played the most recent Drummania, they'll recognize this song.
As always, don't forget to comment! Aeiji breathes comments~ :)

Heeeeey, time for some music! This rotation was picked by the lovely yuuzaiden, who helped me find a song I'd been pining for. So Here we go!
Soggy Bottom Boys - I'm a Man of Constant Sorrow Starting off with a song from the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou? This song is strange, there's no doubt on that. Clearly country blues, the song tells a story of a man who lives a miserable life. This is actually really fun to sing to.
P.O.D. - Youth of the Nation This song comes from the prospective of first a boy who gets hit in a school shooting, then a girl who has no love for herself, and then a boy who tried so hard to fit in, but in the end took his life out of loneliness. A song about the darkness youth face inside.
O-Zone - Ma-Ya-Hi (Version Anglaise De Dragosta Din Tei) If you ever saw this video, you might know who O-Zone is. Ma Ya Hi is just an upbeat, fast moving song about a painter and love. It's very cute.
M.A.S.H. - Suicide is Painless (Marilyn Manson Cover) I may have posted this (or the original) before, but it's definitely a file that deserves a re-post. The lyrics to Suicide is Painless are very sad, the crushing thoughts of people trapped in the horror of war. The original song is very upbeat sounding, fast and catchy. This cover is dark. A crawling, ambient song that makes you feel the lyrics.
Loituma - Ieva's Polka More songs related to viral videos! You know Leekspin, right? Well here's the full song. It's a Finnish tune, and an addicting song.
Legend of Zelda - Prayer Now I struggled with myself about this song... because it's actually a fan-remix that's hosted on OC Remix. So to be clear This is not an official track. That being said, this is an awesome remix. Slow, beating, and ambient, then becoming fast and trippy. Jill Goldin, who composed this mix, is also the woman singing in it. Kudos to her! Check out Over Clocked for more awesome fan made remixes!
Heather Dale - Mordred's Lullaby As the title suggests, it's about Mordred, son of Arthur and Morgan la Fey. I love this song, it's bitter, dark, and amazing. Recommended
Cirque du Soleil - Tango Aha, Cirque! This is a beautiful track with no vocals required to set the mood and scene. Pure tango, I love every second.
Caramell - Caramelldansen (Speedycake Mix) Another viral song?! You betcha. Start dancing now, cause as soon as you listen to this you'll be moving to the beat anyway! There is no escape from the Caramelldansen!
The Cats - "Growltiger's Last Stand" including "The Ballad of Billy McCaw" Ohhhh yes. I grew up listening to the Cats soundtrack from the 80's production. And in the 80's there was this song. It wasn't included in the video release (which always made me mad), perhaps because it's a little dark for children. The song about a horrible cat named Growltiger, and how love was his downfall. I adore this track.
Okie dokie, that's all for this rotation! Next month? Maybe I'll do a themed rotation! Give me some ideas, who knows, maybe I'll pick your choices!
