Welcome to the Eric Szmanda Icontest

This is a place for Eric Szmanda icon challenges, as the name would suggest.
Each week a picture or screencap of Eric will be provided and the members will choose the best icons created and we'll award banners.

Rules

1. Play nice! No flaming or fighting. Results are final.
2. Icons must fit the Live Journal standards: No bigger than 100x100 px and 40 KB, in either JPG, GIF or PNG format.
3. The contest is anonymous, so please do not post your icons elsewhere, including your own journal. Do not include your livejournal username in the icon filename
4. Icons must be original; no previously created work, and must not be used elsewhere during or prior to the voting.
5. No voting for yourself.

Entering

1. Post your icon in both IMG SRC format and URL
2. If the challenge allows multiple icons, post them all in a single post.
3. Make sure your icon host server allows hotlinking. If your icon isn't visible, it won't be included in the voting
4. All voting and comments will be screened.

The Contest

1. Challenges will be posted on Monday.
2. Deadline for entries will be Thursday
3. Voting will take place Friday through to Monday

Voting

1. Voting will take place from Friday to Monday
2. Voting will be via polls
3. The amount of icons you may vote for in each poll will depend on how many entries are received that week. They will range from 1-3 for each challenge. If votes are for more than one icon votes are weighted, which means that the icon you give first place gets more points than the icon you give third place.
4. Only community members are allowed to vote, but you don't have to be an icon maker to join the community! Feel free to join just to take part in the voting.
5. Do not vote for yourself, or ask other people to vote for you
