Hi guys! Well, it's been a while. The show's supposed to start up in September, as I'm hearing, so I've taken the liberty of spicing up the profile page. Take a look if you can, and tell me what you think! I'm also thinking of putting up a... well, to put it frankly, a less boring community layout, possibly with alternating headers of last season's judges/performers. (It may take a while to figure out just how to do that, but I'm sure I'll manage something.)

You guys did mention that you liked this one; I'm just wondering if you'd prefer something more SYTYCD-oriented, not something this generic (yet pretty).

And this isn't layout related, but during the discussion post for the American S5, it was mentioned that S6 is starting up in September, as is SYTYCD: Can S2? Weeeell, if that's the case, some of us might be overdosing on dance every week, in the event that the Can. performance show is on Tuesday, and America's is on Wednesday. That's... a lot of dancing.

(If this is old news, my excuse is that I'm way behind on the times, so feel free to whip me for being a lazy mod.)

Anyway, that's it from me. I hope you're all having a great summer. ♥

Over at sytycd.ca, we're back for Season 5 with three great new writers - Joanna/Momo (on party planning), Mark (asks what's on you're S5 wishlist) and Nate Levy (opines on choreographers).

And of course we'll being doing our usual open threads and polls every week. First one is here.

You all were great last fall. Hope to see you around this summer.

Sandhu is back. Watch his interview with the Toronto Sun.

The actual news article. )

Idk. I'm kinda LOLing. Plus, Mary Murphy is back as a judge for the Toronto stop, so I'm anxious to see what she said to him this time around, lolol.

Oh, and also:

Two Canadian programs broke into the Top 20 list for the first time: So You Think You Can Dance Canada (No. 14, with 1.4 million viewers), and Flashpoint (No. 18, with 1.3 million). Corner Gas drew more than a million viewers a week as well, for its swan-song season. Corner Gas is now closed, but So You Think You Can Dance Canada and Flashpoint are expected to return.

Earlier today I had a fun little dance session with season one So You Think You Can Dance Canadacontestant & 4th place runner-up, Natalli Reznik!!

She showed me some crazy dance moves, and gave me some insight for what people can do to make it through the auditions this year - Have a look, and please don't make fun of my "unique" style...

I saw this on TV a few days ago and just remembered. Unfortunately, all I could find on Youtube was this blurry video, but having seen it myself on TV I am 100% sure it's him!

Get ready to dance again Canada!

CTV just announced today that So You Think You Can Dance Canada has been green-lit for a second season!

Last season, approximately 2,500 hopefuls busted a move for the judges during the first-ever audition tour, ultimately crowning Montreal’s Nico Archambault as Canada’s first-ever, favourite dancer. This year, CTV and Danse TV Productions are warming up for another cross-country search for the next Canada’s Favourite Dancer.

Audition details to be announced soon...stay tuned!

Anyone know if you can just go to the auditions to watch and not actually audition? XDD;

I went to the Winnipeg show on Tuesday and it was AMAZING! We had Floor, Row 8 seats. I had such a good time. Miles was adorable and Nico was plain gorgeous. Everyone looked even better in person than they did on tv, I didn't think that was possible. LoL. I have a whole bunch of pictures that I need to upload, which I should have posted by the weekend. Expect tons of Miles and Nico. LoL. I'll have more to say once I post the pictures.

So here's some pictures I took from the SYTYCD live show in Vancouver last Friday. :)
The only person we didn't get to meet was Danny. By the time we finished my friends were like whatever lets jet :( so we didn't get to talk to Danny. However we did get two pictures with Nico XD
I would totally review the whole thing in words but it's so much work and I'm way too lazy so I think photos would just be better.

pics, pics, pics )

Because I have a ton of homework to do, my review of the Vancouver show probably won’t be up until tomorrow, anyways, my continuous fangirling to people who really have no idea what I’m talking about has made me realize I need more people on my flist who are fans of SYTYCDC. Thus I bring you...

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA
FRIENDING MEME!

Just fill out the stuff in a comment, talk amongst yourselves, and make friends :D

Has anyone seen Repo! The Genetic Opera? Natalli, and Tre are both in it. They don't have big parts, but it's still pretty cool to see them in a movie.

Also: Vancouverites, TWO MORE SLEEPS! I'm going to try and post a ton of pictures and a review sometime on Saturday :D

28 January 2009 @ 04:24 pm
Hey, I was just wondering if anybody could help me find some icons from Natalli and Vincent's Top 8 contemporary routine to the song "Happy Ending" by Mika.

I'm just so in love with that dance and song, I am in desperate need for icons! =)

Please and manyyyyyyy thanks.
