I hope I did this right XD Anyway, I coloured a bunch of TRC and CCS icons over the summer and most of them are Syaoran related so I'm going to post them here in a cut. I also coloured a few Syaoran manga images as well so I'll also post those with them ^^

Well, I actually finished coloring this Splash a few days ago.... and I thought I would share with the Syaoran Fandom too... ^___^

Totally random post of mine but hey! It's Syaoran related so it can't be that bad ^__~

I just finished seeing Live the inauguration of the Olympic Games in Pekin (it was gorgeous!) and they talked/showed many aspects of the Chinese culture, and it was so beautiful I couldn't help but most agree with Clamp's taste, who absolutely love to put on chinese clothing on their characters, and use chinese themes in almost everything they do, somehow ^^

And they talked about Plum Blossom and I thought "Hey! Isn't that Syaoran's favorite flower?...not! It's peonies!"

At that point, I went to google (after finishing watching the whole thing of course ^^), to search for the significance of Plum Blossom in flower language :
The national flower of China, the plum is associated with winter
and is considered a harbinger of the New Year and spring. It represents purity,
strength, courage, and perseverance and symbolizes a person who can stand fast
in the face of adversity. The plum blossom has five petals, which are said to
represent long life, happiness, health, prosperity, and the natural passage of life.

While (for the ones who don't remember), Peonies are more like :
- shyness  and beauty - the Chinese name for peony is 'sho yu' - meaning most beautiful.
In folklore the peony was linked to the moon, it was believed to have been created by
the moon goddess to reflect the moon's beams during the night. During the Middle Ages
'lunatics' were covered with peony leaves and petals in order to cure them.

Ok.

So I definitely and without a single doubt think that Syaoran-kun looks great surrounded by peonies and that it's 100% full of greatness for this gorgeous flower to be his favorite, since our Syaoran is indeed shy and most beautiful! AAWWWW!!!!  XD XD XD Furthermore, if I remember well, I think there is some kind of link between peonies and cherry blossom...
But I can't help but think the 'meaning' of the Plum flower is also very close to his character, in another way.
Also, 'Li', Syaoran's family name, means 'plum' in chinese...

Well! that's it! It was just me sharing my random thoughts about it aha~

For this video, I'm focusing on how Syaoran has to get through the day while debating whether or not to focus on his mission, collecting the Clow Cards, or allow his feelings for Sakura to take over. Throughout the video Syaoran is thrown into turmoil. When I heard this song, I was completely inspired to make this video. It leapt out at me practically begging me to do this for Syaoran, and I had so much fun making this video as a result. I worked hard on it, and I managed to stay on beat as well as have appropriate lyric matching. I hope you enjoy~
