| About: | You may want to join the Spirit Workers' Union if at least some of the following are true: *you devote a significant portion of your life to cultivating your relationship with your God or Gods, spirits, lwa, wights, (insert your term for non-physical religious entities here). *you consider yourself to be the slave/servant, child (not in the generic "we are all children of God" sense), spouse, or other pet project of one or more of your Entities. Note that you must be willing to share the room: people who want to be treated as an Entity's only spouse, child, etc. in the presence of others will not be coddled. *you see yourself as fulfilling the role of emissary of your Entities or someone who tries to fulfill Their interests in the mundane world. *you see yourself as a go-between between your Entities and the mundane world in other senses: for example, practicing some form of shamanism or seidh on behalf of a community that wants to work with your Entities. *you are willing to play nice with other people of similar type, regardless of their specific religion or magical tradition, for the purposes of conversation. Hopefully this will be a place for commisseration, sharing ideas and resources, gallows humor, and suchlike. I considered drawing up goals for the "Union" regarding pay, benefits, and vacation hours, but was afraid someone would take me seriously. This will probably not be a locked-down-tight community in terms of bringing in only my own friends, but it will be members-only, and membership will have to be approved. Applying for membership?
