Hi All!
I'd like to introduce you guys to tire_swing, the feedback community for swimming_hole. For the CracktrailerMarySue!verse as well, if there are no objections.
If you have any comments or questions, we'd love to hear from you. All topics are up for grabs. Does Vince come across as too eager for someone with so much fear? Isn't the idea that Jimmy doesn't have Scrabble the saddest thing you've ever heard? If Orli and Vince are cousins, does that mean they can't kiss? Is ros_fod a little touched in the head? At some point, will the weather change?
As you'll see, that sneaky superspy anonymousdi sniffed out the community a while back, and she's been generous enough to leave feedback in it already. Sorry it took me so long to open it up, darling!
Thank you, to everyone who's joined up and kept reading. You guys are the best.

Orli's waiting for Vince by the time he gets out of his last class, leaning on the wall across from Mrs. Nealy's homeroom, cap pulled over hair so dirty Vince can see the greasemarks from where he's standing.
Broad, impish smile, the one that says, "thank *fuck* school's let out, now let's go found us something *useful* to do," and Vince is smiling back.
"Gotta put these away first," he says, chin down so that it touches the top edges of the books he has his arms wrapped around.
Orli makes a clucking sound like he's deeply disappointed, but his smile widens as he slings a bare arm around Vince's shoulder. No wider than Vince and just a touch taller, but Orli's arm's a welcome weight. Makes walking the hall to his locker easier. Vince can concentrate on the warmth caught in Orli's sleeveless shirt, or the even sound of his voice. Turn off the sharp looks sliding their way, the whispers behind small fingers ringed in those small gemstones the girls like so much.
They're almost to Vince's locker when Orli stops short. Vince looks up, sees Orli's jaw set in a line, the muscle jumping right above the hinge. Follows Orli's gaze to where John Bob is standing with the kids he likes to call his Boys. Vince made a joke about that once. Got a broken rib for his trouble.
"Goddamn," he says under his breath as he clutches his books tighter.
