AboutWelcome to Sweet and Deceitful, a Negative slash community. This is the place for fanfic, photos, art, interviews, videos and all other slashy things to do with the Finnish band Negative. The community is friends-only, so you'll have to join to see all the slashy goodness, but that's easy, just click the link up above.
We have regular competitions and challenges, so there's plenty of opportunities for you all to get involved, whether your talents lie in fic, graphics, art or icons.
The important bit: This is a slash community. Means pretty boys who like other pretty boys. A lot. With, like, kissing and stuff. If you can't handle that, don't join. Simple as that. Also...some of it's more than kissing, so if you're underage to look at that sort of thing in your home country...don't join. And of course, it's all fictional. We're not saying they're really doing stuff. Well, they do kiss. We've seen it. But...you know. The rest of it. All the product of our overactive imaginations. Never happened.
There. That said, here are the rules and guidelines for the community, handily arranged under headings to make them a little easier to use. Please stick with them, we don't want to have to get our mod-sticks of doom out!

- Please friendslock all posts, and please post all fic, art etc behind a cut to make it easier on everyone's friends-lists
- Please tag all posts to make it easier to navigate the community archives - we have some standard ones, but feel free to add your own if you're posting something not covered. Standard ones include: 'fic: pairing'; 'manip: pairing'; 'interview: names'; 'photos: names'; 'art: pairing'; 'fic challenge #'; 'layout competition'; 'icon challenge #', and so on. Keeps it all tidier. :D (for further guidelines on tagging your posts, see this post.)
- Please title your post as follows: FIC/ART/PHOTO/MANIP (etc): Title, Pairing, Rating. Makes it easier all round. If it's for a challenge, then 'CHALLENGE FIC/ICONS/ART: etc' makes it that bit clearer too.
- Please keep posts on-topic. This is a Negative slash community so posts should involve at least one member (or ex-member) of the band, and should be slashy in at least their main content. Material relating to family members is also allowed (ie Ville Liimatainen, Tommi Liimatainen, Matthau Mikojan, Arttu Aatamila, Henrikki Markkula etc), and references to het are allowed (shock horror!) as long as the main point of the post is slashy.
- We want to see all pairings here! Much as we love Jonne, Christus and Larry, Antti, Snack and Jay deserve some love too.
- Pimping other communities: only as long as they're relevant, and please ask the mods first. If you're going to pimp an RP community, it would be helpful if you could state which NGT members you're looking for.
Posting fic:
- Please no Mary-Sues. Not much of a problem in this fandom, but still. Self-insertion is okay as long as it's not blatantly MS...
- Please use a header including the following items:

Author:
Rating:
Pairing:
Summary:
Disclaimer: (very important!)
Challenge: (if applicable)
Warnings: - See this post for guidance on rating your fic, if you're not sure which rating to give it.
- Please put warnings of anything people might find disturbing/offensive/squicky/whatever. The main ones are non-con, slight underagedness (please no majorly underaged characters. Check with the mods if you're not sure.), death, major angst, fluff...you know the sort of thing.
Posting art and manips:
- Please post warnings if any art or manip is not worksafe.
- Please post details of the pairing before the cut!
Posting photos and videos:
- Please post warnings for picspams, for the benefit of dialup users.
- If you're lucky enough to have a photo/video/whatever that's not worksafe, please post it with a warning! If your photo is larger than 500x500 pixels, also please put it behind a cut.
Interacting with other members:
- Play nice - no flaming! Homophobia, drama, bitchery and nastiness will not be tolerated; after three warnings you will be banned (one for homophobia, as the point of the community is in fact teh gay and if you can't handle that you shouldn't be here).
- Constructive criticism is positively encouraged. Authors: don't get upset if someone picks you up on a grammatical or spelling mistake, points out plot holes etc etc. This is constructive criticism and is not flaming. Commenters: please don't be scared to offer concrit. The mods' decision is final as to what is or isn't concrit.
- Don't try to pit one mod against the other. We do talk to each other every day, and we will know what you're doing. If your mother said no, your other mother is also going to say no.
- Please participate! The community is there for you and we want to get lots of discussion and fun stuff going, so wade on in there and get commenting.
Competitions and challenges
- Competitions and challenges will be open for two weeks, giving you all plenty of time to participate.
- All competitions and challenges will be judged by the members, by means of polls. Voting will be open from the day entries close for a week or so, giving plenty of time for people to vote.
- Entrants can enter as many times as they like.
- Entries should be posted as normal entries in the community, with a heading stating they are a challenge entry, and tagged as such (see above).
- Entries are to be posted only here on the community, and not elsewhere, until voting is over.
- Competitions may be themed, use prompts, give a particular pairing, a word limit (for fics), and so on and so on. Variety being the spice of life and, indeed, slash.
The mods' decision is final on any matter. If you have any queries, please ask us:
