Solace & Sorrow chords/ SJ Tucker Greatest Hits list
    Fellow Sooj fans,

I've put up all the songs from Sooj's "Solace and Sorrow" with lyrics and guitar chords on Cern's Pagan Songbook Online (including the Gaselli anthemn!). Go to--

    http://www.cernowain.com/pagansongbook/swc/sooj.html

    Strum away, guitarists.

Also, if you wanted to create a "Sooj's Greatest Hits" CD, what songs would YOU put on it?

    Here's my list.

    1. Alligator in the House (Mythcreants CD)

    2. Go Away Godboy (Sirens CD)

    3. Hymn to Herne (Blessings CD)

    4. Mommy Medusa (Haphazard CD)

    5. Handfast Blessing (Sirens CD)

    6. In the Name of the Dance (Blessings CD)

    7. November (Quartered/Palimpsest CD)

    8. We Are Shangri-La (Quartered/Palimpsest CD)

    9. Baba Yaga (Tales of I-10 CD)

    10. Taglio! (Solace and Sorrow CD)

    11. The Girl in the Garden (Sirens CD)

    12. Manicore’s Lullaby (Solace and Sorrow CD)

    13. The Pixie Can’t Sleep (Tangles CD)

    14. A Goddess Down the Street (Sirens CD)

Is there any you would put in that's missing from this list, or any you would switch or take out?

    bb,

    Cern

    Seattle: Edge of the Circle
    (semi-crossposting...)

Seattle folk, the *only* place I've been able to find Witches & Pagans (the one with Sooj on the cover) is Edge of the Circle Books, on Pike west of Broadway in Cap Hill. Soul Food *might* have'em, but I haven't trekked all the way out there to see yet, but I've checked the other places I can think of, and no dice. EotC is *it*. Get'em while they're hot!

I'll be happy to update with other locations if folks report in....

[ETA: Of *course* Powell's in Portland would have it! they rock! Thanks, [info]lavenderfae9 for the report!]

Sooj Songs with chords back online
Dear fellow Skinny White Chick fans,

After a hiatus which was too long, I am resurrecting Cern's Pagan Songbook Online. You will now find a number of S.J. Tucker songs with lyrics and chords listed at this new address:
    http://www.cernowain.com/pagansongbook/swc/sooj.html

Besides these wonderful Sooj songs, I've also uploaded pages for Celia Farran, Reclaiming and SONA. You'll find a lot of traditional Pagan chants on the Reclaiming song pages. Yule songs are also now online as well. You can now find these pages listed at http://www.cernowain.com/pagansongbook/psb.html

By way of explanation, after AOL dropped their hosted webpages I had to find a new home for the Songbook.. Now that that's done, I'm currently rewriting html code for the many songs I have transcribed, which will take some time.  But I'm determined to get the site back up to where it once.  If you have suggestions as to which artists you'd like to see first, drop me a line or a reply and I'll see what I can do.

    bright blessings,

    Cern

help for the Dreamtrybe Wikipedia page
Sooj shares many fans with the now-defunct, awesome, rock band Dreamtrybe (nee Velvet Hammer). If you're among that crowd, I'd like to point out that Dreamtrybe's Wikipedia entry has been marked for deletion due to a lack of third-party information (citations to newspaper articles, etc.)

If you have access to any sources that might help save the page by improving it's quality, I'd encourage you to do so. Or post links or other information here so that others may do so.

Some of the kinds of information that would be useful:
    * online or print newspaper or magazine articles
    * album or performance reviews
    * interviews (printed or audio)
    * notation of awards won (I believe they've won several Austin Chronicle Music Awards, but I can't prove it.)

    Got anything?

(Also: if you don't know Dreambtrybe, you might wish to check them out! Ginger Doss, the keyboardist and one of the vocalists is prominent in Sooj-land as a friend, co-star, host, and engineer for some of Sooj's music. And many folks in the Dreamtrybe-tribe have other connections to Sooj too. And their music is great.)

    Help?
I don't normally post much here, but a friend of mine had this posted in his journal and since the person needs help for a good reason I thought I would post it where people could see it, perhaps then more people would be aware that someone is in need of help.

This person runs an Equine Rescue and they are in need of donatations for one of their horses, the full story is in the link. Even if money can't be donated if perhaps someone can pass on the word it would be greatly appreciated.
