A B O U T

In the vein of similar lj comms, this community has been created to enable sharing and requesting of complete episodes of NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

This is a resource community and as such, organisation is pivotal to its smooth running. Posting is thus restricted to moderators only. Please read the community guidelines and recent moderator posts prior to commenting. The moderators reserve the right to ban any member who consistently disregards guidelines or in any way causes disruption to the community.

svu_media is all about give and take. Requesting media (in comments - see below) is fine and is certainly what this community is here for but please also keep in mind that your reciprocal contributions are greatly appreciated and are what helps keep the community alive.

The community memories and tags will be updated weekly or as time permits.

G U I D E L I N E S

Moderators will post:

+ A weekly (or when new episodes air) new episode upload post. Members are invited to comment to the weekly post with upload links for new episodes. Downloaders are encouraged to express their gratitude and appreciation. :) Our sincere thanks to episode uploaders in advance!

+ A weekly (or when new episodes air) episode discussion post. Under no circumstances will spoilers be tolerated in these threads. See below for spoiler definitions.

+ A monthly episode request post. This will be a place where members can request episodes where previously posted links have expired and are no longer available for download. Please remember:

   - Tags and memories should be checked before making a request. Requests made for episodes already available will be deleted. If you are having technical difficulty, check/post here.

   - When making an episode request, comment to the latest monthly post and please include the episode title, season and number in either the subject line or in the body of your post. For example: 5.04 Loss. If you're not sure of the episode title, check both NBC and TV.com first.

   - All community members are restricted to requesting one episode per week with the exception of those who upload. Uploaders are free to request episodes commensurate with their uploads, that is, if you upload three episodes, you may request three episodes.

   - Leeching and hot linking absolutely will not be tolerated. The one exception to this rule is in the case where an uploader has granted express permission. Members caught sharing links from this community elsewhere without express permission will be outright banned.

   - The moderators are extremely grateful to community members who upload!

S P O I L E R     P O L I C Y

A spoiler = new episode airing (US/Canada) plus 48 hours. Please refrain from posting anything regarding episodes falling into this category. This includes images, screencaps, future casting, discussion of previews, etc. Community members from other countries (who don't have access to bittorrent files) please enter at your own risk.
