I went through all ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) sv_manipsnip member profiles to check for age statements. I removed any users who did not have either (a) their birth year or (b) a statement letting everyone know that they are 18 or older.
From here on, all explicit pictures and/or manips will be locked and viewable only to community members.

I have changed the this community to require moderated membership. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it did NOT kick everyone out of the community! However, I still need you to have your age displayed in your journal info in order to stay with full membership in this community.
On Saturday morning, I will go through the user info of everyone in the community and remove anyone who does not have their age clearly displayed. If you get removed because you didn't see this post, never fear! You can reapply to the community and will be approved as soon as you add your age to your user info.
NOTE: This does not apply to those who are watching the community, only to those who are members of the community.
I will keep you up to date as I learn more.

Hello all!
I am posting to make you aware of a couple new community rules.
(1) For those posting in this community, you must LOCK your explicit posts. Please review your posts. Additionally, you should add a statement confirming that the characters are of the age of majority if you think that it may not be obvious to viewers.
(2) For those watching this community, you will need to reapply for membership.
I am sorry to have to ask this of you, but this community is changing to a moderated membership. You must be 18 or older to become a member of the community (NOTE: You can watch the community if you are not 18 yet, but you cannot become a member). You will need to have your birthdate displayed in full on your user profile when you apply or I will not be able to approve your application. It saddens me that some of you may choose not to reapply since this community has been so quiet lately. The most I can say is that I have not abandoned this comm, I have just been very busy and haven't had much time to add new stuff. You all are more than welcome to add your own posts, if you like. :)
(3) Lastly, NOBODY is permitted to post or look at any materials featuring anyone underage in an explicit situation,whether fictional or real.

I knew when I received teot's request to make this manip that I would need to put it up together, so I started to look for a pic of a guy lying in bed. I came up with several choice, then I started to look for a pic that would put Lex in the desired position, and would fit with one that I had for Kal-El, that is when the trouble started.

Hey guys,
I just recently posted in my journal that I lost almost all of my Smallville fanart that I transferred on to CD. I only have about 30 pictures that are OK, but that leaves around 125 pieces gone that I created from 2001 to present. Sometime last year, I stupidly took down the files from the webspace I had them on and so, I don't have any backups (again stupid).
Here's where you guys come in -- whether you've been in SV Fandom since the beginning or are a more recent addition, chances are that if you went the Kryptonsite Boards, TWOP or some of the Chlark related sites, you've seen some of my work. Some examples: here.
In any case, if anyone has saved ANYTHING of mine over the past 4 years, I would so greatly (you don't even know how greatly) appreciate it if you could send those to me? My email address is
sharlenem@gmail.com and I will be eternally grateful and will create a fanart with the couple of your choice for you (not that this is all that great a "prize" but incentive helps right? ::wibbles:: please?)

Okay, once more - some back story. This is also a very early manip. At this point I was manipping for icons, since I had no way to publish larger pictures. I was also (clearly) still in my "move the two boys closer together for instant slashy tension!"-phase. Heh.
Okay - since this has only ever been layered into an icon - one for rhiannonhero and one for me (*points*) I'm posting the actual "finished" product first. Then we'll look at the bases. :D

This is also the manip on which I discovered my first "trick" - I was desperate to get rid of that stupid Metropolis blue lighting. I mean, it looks good and all, but for matching and manipping? Sucks.
