Ben on shooting 'Prince Caspian'
Over at [info]benbarnesfan, saterlitegold has posted some scans of the Illustrated Movie Compainion book, including a scan of the afterword, written by Ben, that makes me flail with fangirlish glee.

“My initial encounter with a Pevensie was a shot riding through the forest with Anna on the back of my horse. I felt chivalrous and heroic... until she nearly fell off. Thankfully, Anna has a wonderful sense of humour, and she actually found it amusing that she had an imprint of my chain mail on her cheek from holding on so tight.” Read the rest here!

Really, what girl would mind? If I got to sit on the back of his horse and hold on tight to him, I would pray the imprint would never leave. *g*

I know I'm posting this everywhere, but it's just too good. XD

That is the cutest thing. Honestly, I really wouldn't mind them together IRL. What age difference?

Ben Barnes makes me so swoony. But I vaguely get the feeling that Anna goes for the well-read and quiet type. And Ben is quite the .... well, not quiet. :p

Hah. You're not the only one who gets "swoony."

And Ben is quite the .... well, not quiet. :p
IDK. He's kinda quiet compared to William... JMO. :)

(I liked Ben's afterword.)

True... Ben is not really that attention seeking. Actually... his old school teachers described him as modest and shy... Now, William on the other hand... ;)

*chuckles* Very, very good line. *feels fangirlish* I can't wait for the DVD to finally come out - I'm going to order it through Amazon.Com rather than be forced to wait while all the Americans get to see it first. *considers pouting over regional narcissism and bias, but decides it would spoil the mood*

That afterword is so very funny - most of the book doesn't have much humour in it, just the occasional bit here and there, but Barnes was funny - I particularly liked this bit:

I will forever be thankful to [Andrew Adamson] for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime - and for giving me a sword that was just slightly longer than William Moseley's.

A little bawdy, yes, but so what? *shrugs* With all those little stories going around in interviews about how Adamson goaded them into a (friendly) rivalry on-set, it seemed a funny little tie-off.

Win. Total win.

Made me laugh madly when I first read it. The book isn't really worth buying, I think, as most of the scans are already around the 'net somewhere, but that line made me very glad that I did.

Yeah, I love that bit too. Actually, there are many 'quotable' pieces in Ben's afterword, but the Ben/Anna one seems most appropriate.

Oh, and btw, I AM forced to wait while all the Americans get to see it. I checked: the shipping time on Amazon will take longer than the Dutch release date (which is 8 days later) *grumbles* But what the hell, I got my illegal digital version of PC, so I'm happy...

*coughs* I wouldn't know anything about that. *cough, cough*

Actually, I am sick. Sore throat. That's beside the point.

I won't get it on the release date, either. We order from Amazon and the shipping could take three weeks - or more, considering that it's December. *pouts*

If it makes you guys feel any better, I probably won't be getting it until summer of next year. Because as a college student, I am broke. Just freaking broke.

Gah. I want deleted scenes, damn it! >< Like Susan-Caspian deleted scenes!

Like some sort of DVD easter egg where there's something naughty.

I'm sure someone'll post them on YouTube sooner or later... I really have no idea how to make video files from DVDs myself, but obviously many do. I'll be glad to write up the dialogue and such for you, though, and make a bunch of screencaps. *hugs, feeling guilty for her earlier whining*

You're very kind, but I can wait until summer or I can harang someone into buying it for me. My birthday's in March. { halo } And there's always Christmas, but since when do people actually get what they ask for?

[hugs] Whine all you want, I think we can agree that it should be out like... NOW.

In that case, you might as well just buy it and get it over with ;p

Hmmm... Seriously? Hint heavily to all your friends, family, teachers and random strangers that it's all you want for your birthday/christmas/whatever and talk them into each chipping in?

i hear you on the naughty! i obviously loved every caspian/susan bit in the movie, but sweet caspian was all wide-eyed and bedazzled that i keep wondering: "and he's supposed to be... what age, exactly?" i know it's disney but i want some serious flirting, please! innuendo would be lovely, as well. something beyond the "are you sure you don't need that horn?" (which was lovely, but still pretty tame).

*sigh* i know we probably won't get it, though.

i'm going to get the DVD from amazon even if it'll be a bit late, if only because it'll be cheaper and it won't have any annoying zone 4 subtitles in the extra features ~_~ i'm sure those deleted scenes will be all over the web soon enough, though, so i'm not worried about the wait. i just remembered that i probably won't even be around when my DVD gets here D: oh, tragedy...
