When I was a clerk at a UPS Store a few years ago I realized that it's just not right to ask an employee to sacrifice their dignity for 8 bucks an hour. So I stopped slapping on my polite smile and pandering to people that came in with douchebag attitudes and started snapping back at those who asked for it. If you came into my store and were nice, you got nothing but a big smile and the best customer service I could provide. But if you behaved like a dick, you got treated like one. There's some famous book I haven't read that says you reap what you sow, and that sounded fair to me.

The same goes for bosses and coworkers. I've been a manager and I can't say I ever once degraded or insulted any of my staff. I always made sure to treat them with respect and thank them for a job well done. What the fuck is wrong with people who don't know how to show respect to coworkers or those that work under them? Fuck them too. This community equally targets asshole customers and fuckwad employers/coworkers.

I haven't come across any other communities centered around not taking any shit from asshole customers and your fucking job in general, so I created one. Feel free to share stories that highlight incidences where you refused to serve people who treated you badly, or told some jerk that was acting like an asshole to get the fuck out of your store. Also welcome are anecdotes like that time you slapped your coworker who whistled the theme from "Leave it to Beaver" for four hours straight or when you went into your manager's office while he was doing his paperwork, jumped up on his desk and pissed the words "I QUIT" onto the scattered pages.

Just a rule or two:

1) Don't be a dick. Let's be nice to each other in the comments. But see rule #2 about the exception.

2) All posts are welcome, but please use halfway decent grammar when posting. The only time it's okay to give someone else shit is when they've posted an entry with bad grammar or are violating rule #3.

3) Any posts or comments that I deem inappropriate based on statements involving race, creed, class, sexual orientation, etc will be deleted. But they will most likely be ridiculed first.

4) Have fun. Friends-lock any entries that have sensitive information in them involving any revenge taken on customers or bosses. I might think it's hilarious to read about the dishwater martini you served to some jerk, but said jerk might not find it amusing and the internet isn't as big a place as it seems to be sometimes.

5) Don't fucking post comments in people's entries shrieking about the fact that their post doesn't belong in this community because the content doesn't quite match. Fuck that. Unless someone is posting entries trying to sell us vacuum cleaners or flinging around racial slurs, anything goes.

6) Don't post a comment yelling at someone about how they were providing crappy customer service. Some people deserve crappy customer service, that's the whole point of this community.
