If your story was written or updated between June 2008 and June 2009, and is set primarily in the Superman movieverse (even AU versions), it is eligible!

Please comment on this thread with the link to your story here, first chapter preferred. If you have a Table of Contents, even better. If we are missing any sites in this list, please also add them in comments.

Let the third annual Superman Movieverse Fanfiction Awards get underway! Here are the ground rules:

• Fanfiction written between June 2008 and June 2009 is eligible. For WIPs, at least one chapter of the longer work must have been originally published during the qualifying period
• Any story which won an award in any previous year is not eligible for the same award in the current year, regardless of whether newer chapters were published during the qualifying period.
• Exceptions to the rule are Best Overall Author -- any author is eligible, regardless of previous wins -- but only based on his/her work during the qualifying period.
• Likewise, you may nominate a different moment of the same fic that won last year's Best Moment Category provided that the moment you are nominating was writtten during the current year.
• The stories may be hosted anywhere online
• The main focus of the story must be the Superman movieverse (not Smallville, Lois and Clark, comicverse, etc.)
• Writers may not nominate their own fanfiction for any category.
• Nominations will be accepted between June 1, 2009 and June 29, 2009, 11:59pm EST. The top five fics nominated will be placed into the final ballot. If there is a tie, we will include a sixth nomination. A run-off ballot will take place on June 30, 2009 if for any categories which do not have a clear nominations list.
• Voting will take place between July 1, 2009 and July 14, 2008 using the non-LJ-affiliated Zoomerang survey service
• Awards will be announced on July 15, 2009.

Please do not "Join" the community -- all participants may nominate and comment on this entry, either using OpenID, LJ username or Anonymous. Instead, LJ users should click "Watch This Community" to stay up-to-date on the nomination and voting process.

Nominations have been trickling in every few days this week. We now have received nominations from 18 people for the 2008 awards.

There will be a run-off ballot on June 30, 2008, beginning at approximately 8-9am EST (USA) and ending 24 hours later. It will only be delayed if there are a flood of nominations at the last minute... so please be kind and get your noms in early! ^_~ And make sure to come by this site during that day to participate.

Nominations for the 2008 Superman Movieverse Fanfiction Awards will officially open on June 1, 2008. There has been a lot of great fanfiction this last year, with some of our 2007 writers finishing their epics, and a lot of fresh new talent as well!

Before the nominations officially get underway, I would like to get some input from the people who watch this community about the nomination categories. Several people expressed a need for categories which did not exist last year, so I'd like to open the floor to suggestions.
