| Rad 98, part one of threeRad 98, part two of threeRad 98, part three of threeI had planned to include, hidden behind a cut, some notes on this episode. And by 'notes,' I mean, 'long, semi-coherent ramblings about hollow earth theories, aether theories, the pre-Andy Awesome history of scientific research into absurdity, the book that inspired my conception of the Subtler Than Light, and so on.' But I have much else to do today, so it shall have to wait a while. In the meantime, please enjoy the canapes. -- | |

| As I mentioned earlier on Superchat, I was doing some research for another column on zines and fiction archives in the early Internet age, and I came across this: http://www.textfiles.com/magazines/M00SE/It's an archive of M00se Droppings, an e-zine that many of the founders of Superguy worked on (and would inspire the "SuperM00se" series from early Superguy, characters from which the peerless gwox obliquely referenced in his recent Rad episodes). It's amazing how much cool stuff is still out there. - Mood:bl00p!

| Crazy Guy #30.1: Vigil. Fitting Crazy Guy continuity into the new revelations seen in the Ballad of Richard Less. :) | |
| I've written up Superguy on the e-book blog I write for, TeleRead.org. (Yes, there's a missing 'y' on the URL. But if I fixed it, I'd break the link I already twittered. Oh well.) | |
| And here we are, at the end of the day, and my last set of notes on this, the end of the thing that was thunged. I don't know what that means either. Give me a break. I'm punchy. ( Once more with feeling! ) | |
| Believe it or not, I didn't plan for there to be five 'episodes' of Richard Less. It's just how it worked out. (Remember, as of Monday I was still insane enough to think this would all be the League #7.) This ends this particular opus. I hope folks like it. Side 5.1Side 5.2Side 5.3Credits | |
| And now, episode #4! See? It's like the good old days -- massive amounts of writing on a daily basis, exhausting the audience! Side 4.1Side 4.2 | |
| Hey hi! It's time for me to blab on about stuff and things! It's notes on part three, and that will be fun to do! ( It's Note-licious! ) | |
| It's just like the old days -- way more stuff written by me than anyone would actually want to read. Still, we got your part three right here! Part 3.1Part 3.2 | |
| And here then is Part Two, once again in two sides for your convenience. And let me just state, for the record, that any excuse to do a Helen Thomas joke is a good excuse to do a Helen Thomas joke. Part 2.1Part 2.2 | |
| As threatened, rather than having this monstrosity be The League #7, it is now its own miniseries, already finished and in the can, and sent to you the people over the next several nights. Its full title is The League Presents: A View of Genocide -- The Ballad of Richard Less. The part about the League mostly is there to connect it. As for "A View of Genocide," I plan to write at least one more, covering the other major antagoistic side in the Genocidal War -- and maybe a third if I can figure a good Heroic hook. To my knowledge, Richard Less has never been a main character before. I'll do notes in the morning. I'm killer tired. But for now: Side 1 of 2Side 2 of 2 | |

| The League #7 is almost done.
It's... long.
It is in fact longer than ALU #100, which to my knowledge was still the single longest episode in Superguy history.
It is in fact longer than the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America definition of a "Novella."
It is in fact longer than the unabridged Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.
It is in fact longer than Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad plus all the annotations and license agreement shit that Project Gutenberg throws into it.
...what have I done? What have I done?
| ...that the U of Alabama student name of Jimbo Wales who created Scarywoman and Dog Thing and did various collaborative-type stuff in and around the Flatphoot Phollies was also the U of Alabama student name of Jimbo Wales who went on to found Wikipedia?
Because otherwise, that's a Hell of a coincidence chain.

| I just posted the first issue of a new series titled Birds of Paradise. It's another Metaworld series. Yeah, I can't just write one series. This one just sorted came out on a single day (brain dump). Sorry for writing stuff that's kind of a stark contrast to the normal Superguy stuff, especially since these stores are the polar opposite of the SG stuff I used to write. I can't control the muse. This is where she's guiding me right now, so this is the path I'm taking. I hope you like this and the other stuff I write ... or at least don't find it too jarring from the lighter side of the mailing list. -- Ken "The Fifth Beatle of Superguy" Cooney | |

| Slate #3 is out. I'm still getting embedded characters in the email for some reason. I'm not sure why. It looks fine at the URL. I'm not sure if doing the cut and paste into the email is doing it or if it's my text editor. - Mood:frustrated

| I was nearly finished with it, so I decided to wrap it up and send it. Don't expect issue 3 to come out as quickly. School is sucking away my time. That and I have a web comic I'm working on (alas, it's not Superguy related). Slate #2Enjoy! -- Ken "the Fifth Beatle of Superguy" Cooney | |
| I've posted Slate #1, a Metaworld series to the list. It's my first story posted to the list in about 16 or 17 years or so. It's a slow moving like my other Metaworld series I wrote in the early 90s (Mind Trekker). It'll pick up a bit in the next few issues. -- Ken "the Fifth Beatle of Superguy" Cooney | |
