To let you know what we're doing here and why we're doing it, we've set this up as a sort of FAQ. So read on and find out all about us!
Q: What is the Sunday Prophet?
The SP is a weekly roundup of the activities in the Harry Potter fandom on LJ, including news, fic, art, discussion, challenges, communities, and random.
Q: How often is the SP released?
Once a week on Sundays.
Q: Who runs this place?

noticeably and son_of_darkness. devon_may is our founding editor, and she is currently on an extended hiatus.
Q: Where do you find all these things?
We go through hundreds of communities and journals every week to find the things mentioned in each edition; however, the other HP newsletters on LJ are invaluable sources for us.hogwarts_today, hp_directory, daily_snitch, quibbler_report, metafandom--we're looking at you. Thanks.
Q: What kind of fics and art are featured here?
All kinds. We don't discriminate on pairing, kink, rating or author. The only thing that we do actively regulate is the number of fics and artwork we mention, so that we can fit the entire edition into one post.
Q: Is there some kind of criteria or filter for quality in fics and art?
Not really. With the volume of things that we mention, it would be impossible for us to read each one and determine if it was worth mentioning or not. We leave that job to you. We'll tell you what's happening around fandom, but you have to decide if it's worth checking out.
Q: Do you only mention well-known authors and/or artists?
Absolutely not. We mention anyone and everyone--from the names everyone knows to the newest newbie. If you made a contribution to the fandom and we hear about it, we'll mention it.
Q: Can I rec something to you?
Absolutely. In fact, we would love you for it. We're only three people, and there are reaches of fandom that we don't know about. So we're relying on our readers to tell us about things that we might not hear about. You can send us an email at sundayprophet@gmail.com or leave us a comment in the most recent post.
