challenge OPEN
Posted early this week because I'm not sure when I'll next have access to a computer: here is a list of lists. Use one of them for a title, and write whatever comes to mind. (totally ripped off from [info]tww100, because they're fabulous.) Have fun. I originally posted "traveling" as the theme, but it was pointed out to me that we already did this one. Oops. If you've already written a drabble for that theme and want to post it, feel free. Sorry for any confusion or inconvenience this caused.

And, uh, first person to comment here gets to post the closing message this week, because I don't know if my home computer will have power by Tuesday. help?

What's the challenge supposed to BE, anyway?

It could conceivably be traveling, but we've done that so many times in one form or another that I have to read that as her saying she's traveling.

I agree with you that we've done it before, but I think the theme is supposed to be traveling anyhow.

We should keep a better list of the challenges.

Oops. We *did* do traveling for challenge #21, didn't we? I believe I was away that weekend and thus it completely escaped my attention. Apologies, and I'll change the challenge to something else momentarily.

No, definitely not necessary! :) This is the new theme, but drabbles already posted/written under the old theme are also accepted.

Sorry for all the confusion.

I just did drabble riffing off kallysten's! (well, not exactly, since I just did a "opposite of travel" drabble)

Perfectly okay. :) Drabbles written/posted with the theme of "travel" can still be posted.

Do you still need someone to close the challenge for you? I'd do it. Let me know.

Damn. I'm going to pass on this week; I really dislike the lists, which feel like slapstick. There doesn't seem to be anything in there around which to write anything that illuminates a character or situation.

Can someone let me know when we have a theme, and not a drunken ebay bid or something about geek heaven, please? I love writing drabbles, but these don't strike me as anything to do with Buffyversedom.

I'm sorry the theme doesn't grab you. I chose it because I thought it might be time for a change of pace, at least for a week. I'd felt my challenges lately had been somewhat repetitive - all one-word descriptors. So I was looking for something different, and I was admittedly rushed due to limited computer time and because my original idea for a challenge had already been done, so this was the best option that presented itself at that time.

And I meant the drabbles should have to do with the *titles*, not necessarily the lists themselves. The titles, I feel, are rather evocative and could lead in some interesting directions.

Sunday100 has had some "novelty" challenges before - the movie challenge springs to mind, for example. Some lovely pieces came out of that one, as they did for this one, in my opinion.

I was actually surprised - a couple of the drabblers really did get their teeth into some meat behind the titles, and got nice work done.

I know it's hard to keep things fresh - you've done a fantastic job. Just, this week? Felt that anything I was going to try was going to be a forced fit.

Some of the earliest drabble themes I saw were very tantalising bits - one of my favourites was "three words, a gun, a set of keys". Some amazing drabbles came out of that one. So the one words-themes certainly aren't the only ones, or the best.

Just, this week's selection felt - I don't know. Young? Superimposed? Rather like biting into a nice chocolate covered cherry, and cracking a tooth because there's a pit in it. And alas, I missed last week's because we were out of town, with no computer access until Tuesdsay morning.

Anyway. Next time!

Just a driveby to bring the love for this week's challenge. I got nothing (the lists are overwhelming me, and of course I'm always slow), but I'm just dazzled by the show of creativity! Moving, compelling, and illuminating stuff, y'all.

Thank you :)

*clears throat*

Well, I just wanted to thank you for this idea.I thought my muse was truly and finally gone, but when she saw three of the titles in that list she actually sent a postcard from Hawaii (Or was it Cologne again?, it's so hard to keep tabs on her when she's travelling!) to give me some mini-plots.

And they were even Dawn/S! *grins*

So,thank you.*smooch*
