russiarocket	oh my god, dinner at jamie's last night: • shrimp bruschetta • salmon with maple sauce • garlic mashed potatoes • asparagus with balsamic vinegar and pine nuts • bread with two choices of olive oil • chocolate raspberry cheesecake • biscotti with raspberry yogurt and honey & almonds • pinot grigio current mood: awed current music: belle and sebastian

reeita	dinner party, part II: kathryn's birtday dinner: the lovely kathryn on abbie's porch: today was spent on the grass in the lovely afternoon / evening listening to aimee mann, for free! tomorrow it is off to try again to get a job. kimmy expects that bacon to be broughten. current mood: cheerful

after a mad shopping spree at target (katie: we'll never need paper towels or hand soap again!), i didn't feel like buying additional ingredients for a stirfry. so we had pasta, balsamic green beans, and almond honey toast with goat cheese. i washed dishes and cleaned out the fridge while ree cooked diligently/sweatingly - four burners at once, most impressive!

afterward we watched lilya 4-ever which *i* liked alot, despite the cheesy ending. ree was more upset with an overpopulation of bunnies at a local animal shelter than she was for the young girl sold into sexual slavery. ;0)

& i finished making kathryn's colorful birthday gift. (note: must find peg!)

today was the kind of day i have been looking forward to all along: just a nice quiet day going about our business but kimmy and i are together. we headed to pleasant hills to do some laundry and eat food and watch two episodes of what not to wear, and we also went to target, where things like fans and cereal and moisturizer were purchased. no pictures, sadly. perhaps tomorrow, when i meet emma!

okay, so MY plans for the summer of a lifetime are as follows:

* write poems
* come back to new york with 10 poems
* eat lots of vegetables
* start drawing again
* help kimmy with cosmonaut #1
* make enough money for security deposit on new apartment
* forget about boys. all of them.
* babysit emma!
* netflix to the maxx
