Increase the length of the tag field in editjournal.bml

Title
Increase the length of the tag field in editjournal.bml

Short, concise description of the idea
The tag field in editjournal.bml is smaller than is suppported elsewhere. Increase the length in editjournal.bml to match.

Full description of the idea
The tag field length in editjournal.bml is smaller than is supported elsewhere. This causes the tag field to be cropped without warning whenever an entry is edited. Increasing the field length on the form on editjournal.bml would solve this problem.

An ordered list of benefits

went digging through code and the update form imposes a max limit of 255 characters (tag names, commas, and spaces).

the limit for each keyword (as best i can tell) is 80 bytes of data and 40 characters.

that means you can have 6 40-character keywords and still allow room for commas to seperate each one.

you could add the tag of "livejournal suggestions are awesome" 6 times and still have enough room for one or two more short ones.

and i've an entry i posted that has about 20 tags. so, the limit for tags-per-post seems to be pretty high.

there should still be a limit though, and 255 is a nice round number in computer-land.

that's my dollar coin's worth of advice.

The issue is not about their being a limit, but about the limit not being consistent.

ah ha. right.

/edittags.bml seems to not have a limit, nor /manage/tags.bml.

so. it seems that the imposed limit in /update.bml should be removed to become consistent.

i like to make things more specific where i can, so, it's the fact that there doesn't seem to be a limit in any other location that tags are modified.
