Could possibly the next Suede walk have in-walk entertainment? You know, ponces reinacting key moments from the Suede biography, both rumoured and confirmed.
Well worth a look i reckon. I'd pay in alcohol... xx |

| Suedewalk 2 - some photies! |

Come to my house tonight - the famous DMS gaff. Brett lived in the basement below the strange Mennonite sect:

I love you, you pay my rent - look, Brett's old pad is available for hire! No timewasters:

Mighty bush - much craziness occurred behind this innocent-looking garden gate:

Pick a card - Romo legend Dickon models Brett's old video shop ID:

| Suedewalk 2 - The Revenge! - This Sunday 9th July |
[Jul. 3rd, 2006|09:29 am] |
Following the rather unexpected success of Suedewalk 1, Suedewalks (TM) is mildly chuffed to present "Suedewalk 2 - Walk Further" this coming Sunday, 9th July. In contrast with the first walk's urban nuclear motorway theme, this one has a Victorian Gothic tinge taking in the Munsters-like Mansion where Dog Man Star was conceived, the cemetery which inspired Dracula - and where Zoe Ball once influenced a "slightly under the weather" Brett & Bernard, the house in the Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle where Suede's singing tutor Tona de Bret was supposed to live (though actually she didn't), the pub outside which Ruth Ellis shot her lover* and the venue where Suede's live career began. Oh, and the trees from which Brett was too Siamese to catch the leaves. Perhaps you can do better?
Kick off at 12 noon in the Boogaloo on the corner of Shepherd's Hill and Archway Road, next to Highgate underground station. The walk will last approx 3-4 hours and will finish near either Belsize Park or Kentish Town tube stations depending on heat exhaustion/drunkenness.
*Not a great deal of Suedey significance here although of course in the film, Dance With A Stranger, Ruth was played by Miranda Richardson who starred alongside Gabriel Glaister in Blackadder who in turn went to see Richard Oakes' first UK gig at the Raw Club in 94. Golly! |
