About

Story
Winchester, England.

A normal town, populated by normal people. To most observers, it would appear that there is nothing extraordinary about the place, nothing special.

But there's one distinguishing feature - the large orphanage on the outskirts of the town, labeled with a placard reading 'WAMMY'S HOUSE' on the gate.

This is not a normal orphanage. Orphaned children never go there first - they are brought there from other orphanages, after rigorous testing and examinations. None of the children use their real names, going instead by single letters or (often odd) pseudonyms. Most of their time is occupied with logic puzzles, assignments to sharpen their observational skills, and constant tests of their intelligence.

After all, they have to have a sharp mind if they are going to be the successors to the greatest detective in the world - L.

The year is 2001, and as always, there is constant struggle within the orphanage, constant attempts at backstabbing, and constant training, all for the sake of being 'L' some day. While there are clear leaders and followers, the successorship is still undecided.

Maybe someday L himself will decide, but for now, the conflict will continue.
Concept
The Succession is a Death Note based RP, set in Wammy's House, the orphanage that in canon trained all of L's successors. The game is open to both canon characters such as B, Mello, Near, and Matt, as well as Original Characters to fill in any of the missing letters - after all, there are many people at Wammy's House beyond the ones that were shown.

The RP will simply follow the various struggles faced by L's successors - the constant testing, the desperate attempts to reach the top of the ladder, and of course the interpersonal drama between the orphans themselves.

The community, in the game world, is simply that - a communal network, set up by L in order to allow for easier monitoring of the orphans' progress, as well as online testing and communication. Community events take the forms of assignments, usually posted by L or Roger.
