Chicago Promoters Ordinance - ACT NOW! [13 May 2008|11:20am] twinscin From scaryladysarah and about a bazillion others: The City of Chicago is voting THIS WEDNESDAY to pass a new Promoters Ordinance which would require independent promoters to get licenses to promote any/all events which in turn would negatively affect the future of the Chicago music community. This proposed law would: -Require independent promoters to acquire a promoter’s license costing up to $2,000 every two years, obtain liability insurance for every event thrown (even if the presenting venue already has liability insurance), be fingerprinted and background checked, and maintain extensive records of each event. Monday's Theft at Club E'llusions [21 Nov 2007|01:24pm] sorcerykid If anybody knows anything about the man and woman couple who were wandering around the bar afterhours this past Monday please email me ASAP. My purse, wallet, keys, cash, and other possessions were stolen. They were our only non-regular patrons the entire night, so their appearance was already out of place. Furthermore, they arrived just before closing time and asked the bartender for a drink even though she was already cleaning up the bar, so anybody who was there late couldn't have missed them.
