| About: | First of all. This is unofficial community, so whatever you can find inside Sturm cannot be responsible for that. Community owner isn't one of Sturm organisers. So don't ask him about the next Sturm events and so on. You can use Russian, Latvian, and English for posting here but i really recommend you to choose English.  Sturm had emerged out of the real underground in april 1998, with a series of legendary parties, involving local noise artists and porn / shock performances. By the time it was the only industrial (and alternative altogether) event around, reviving memories of early 90`s, when semi-legal club Next in a medieval basement were the place for untamed punk, metal, industrial and darkwave nights. Led by dj Knabis (the beak) the movement has retained it`s uncompromising stance and attitude all through those years. Nowadays Sturm hosts a monthly party at Depo club, with live performances of local and foreign industrial bands. Thanks to theese events, industrial culture here grew in popularity, therefore the idea of making latvian industrial label came. First release on Sturmmandat was a latvian industrial compilation Sturmer I in 2000.
