It's the end of the world at ljsecret
A mod of

ljsecret posts to let everyone know that the community will no longer be accepting any secrets that contain pornography because another mod (heytherealana) was suspected and banned from LiveJournal for posting in a secrets post an image of three girls, all of whom looked about sixteen, topless and covering their breasts with their hands.

Predictably, the comments section explodes with LJ Strikethrough icons and people complaining that the sluts who put their images up were asking for it, that heytherealana didn't make the secret and is therefore not responsible for it (how stupid is LJ!?!?!!?), and trying desperately to string together "Law and Order" episodes they saw last summer into a coherent legal argument.

Edit: It's now locked, but what open at time of posting. This really only means that it's going to get stupider.

Edit: Is it okay if I quote some of the comments posted before it was locked, or is that a violation of the policy? Let me know, mods.

	Disregarding that whole IS IT PORN OR ISN'T IT argument, I don't get this whole "she didn't know if it was porn so she shouldn't be punished" argument. MODERATOR = ONE WHO MODERATES COMMUNITY CONTENT. As in, maybe she can exercise discretion and err on the safe side against posting questionable photographs. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	In the second mod post it says that she wasn't actually the mod who compiled the post, so in all likely hood she just posted the content that the other mod did up and didn't even look at the secrets in question. It's the original mod who actually goes through and collects the secrets and checks each one to see if it works etc... (Reply to this) (Parent)

	I agree. No warning or anything...I'm actually surprised that they just banned a mod instead of the whole community, that seems a little weird. Still, the mods should have used more common sense, but on the upside I'm glad there won't be anymore porn secrets. (Reply to this) (Parent)
