A recent scene for THE ALCOHOLIC requested I draw two men hugging. For some reason, I was having a hard time conceptualizing the physics behind this platonic act and I asked my studio mates if they would pose for me. One by one, I was denied. "The Calve" [aka Mike Cavallaro] was shorter than what I wanted and Leland Purvis wasn't going to hug another man like that. Least ways, not any of the men he shares a studio with. Simon Fraser was off buying pink ponies for his daughter and, so, Tim Hamilton stepped up to the plate.

I've come to rely on Tim for my man-on-man action and I am incredibly grateful for his willingness to help me create plausible verisimilitude for the greater good of comix.

Great reference shots. Did you ever think you'd need these, ever?
Tim is a good hugger.
Glad Tim stepped up so you could get the goods. ((HUGS))

I would LOVE to see a shot of the billboard next to your desk Dean, looks like a mesmerizing display of inspiration.
