| Dictionary: English-Silyon |
[Mar. 9th, 2006|08:07 am] |
This post will serve as a basic lexicon (at least for the beginning of this project until I get a TiddlyWiki set up- if I can- so that searching becomes easier.) I am using the basic layout of this post, in qihoskeh, since I think it's a nice simple way to establish a basic dictionary. I will start out by dividing it into two entries, however. The first will be an English-Silyon dictionary (sorted by English words). The other will be a Silyon-English dictionary (sorted by Silyon words).

| First Sentence! |
[Feb. 21st, 2006|08:05 am] |
Today, I spoke the possible first sentence of my language... except I haven't really "officially" put together grammar, word order, syntax--- you know, the stuff that makes language functional, so it's not officially my first sentence, just an idea... a possibility.
Rahng rohngahtook [rɑŋ roŋɑtuk]. It literally means "In the past, go I," but would translate into English as "I went."
Rahng [rɑŋ] = Past. There is no tense in my language, so time must be established at the beginning if it is not in the present.
Rohngah- [roŋɑ] = (to) go.
-took [tuq]= 1st person, singular {"I").
Like I said, this is very very very tenative stuff... but that's a sample of what my language could be like. |

| Future of this community |

I've been thinking about what I want to do with this community. I've been working on creating a language, so I thought maybe this community could become a source for that. Essentially, I'd post a lot of generic updates here so my personal journal doesn't become flooded with them. This could hopefully offer a place for my friends (or others) who are interested in my language to practice it- ie, they could post entries in my language and so forth. I'll think about that while I'm out geocaching. |

Do you think there is ever a circumstance where/when delusion/psychosis is functional? |

| Welcome! |

Strange Gravity is the name of my personal website... a very random site I've compiled. I thought it'd be cool to create a community for my web site, but then decided it would be better as just a random blog group. There really is no point to this community. Feel free to talk about whatever you want- religion, philosophy, economic systems, cartoons, tv, art, the meaning of life, (the universe, and everything), and so forth.
Feel free to comment with ideas or suggestions about this community, as I'm open to hear them :-) |
