School and Cat [07 Oct 2008 @ 9:00pm] friggasgirl [ music | Futurama: "Leela's homeworld" ] I just found this icon and I'm in love. This is actually what my cats look like. One black, one white and one gray. Fun stuff! I just got the syllabus for my speech class. Imagine that. I have to do seven speeches. I'm shocked. Well, I'm really glad we just bought a new digital camera because I have to video them and upload for peer evaluation. I have to have at least five adults in the "audience" and must pan over them so that the instructor can see the look of boredom plastered on my friends and loved ones' faces. Fortunately one of the subjects (informational) coincides with a class I'm giving on Hellenic goddesses. I'll just have someone tape my lecture. Whee. One less thing to do. I also have to do an "instructional" lecture, an introduction speech, an advertisement (anyone interested in Aegir's Cauldron Apiary Honey!?), one on my pet peeves (grammar mistakes anyone?) and a speech to persuade. I'll have to figure that out later. I have no idea right now. Not a hard class...just another annoyance. Rogue is in day two of "the embarrassment." She has the real E-collar on and is mortified. She's so dejected she looks almost sickly. Amazing how your body will reflect your spirit. She's on day two of the antibiotics and I can say that the wound isn't any worse. That's a good sign. Now let's see if it gets better. The collar is such that she can't eat or drink or even get up steps without my help. I take soft food up to her bed (in our room) twice a day and carry her down for water three times a day. She's starting to figure out how to get up and down steps. She makes it down to the litter about once a day. It takes her forever to get up steps because of the collar but she's figuring it out slowly. She's come downstairs to sit with me on the couch while I'm typing. She needs a little TLC. Greg's in bed out like a light. Meg's in bed out like a light. Mads' in bed out like a light. I'm awake. One of these things just doesn't belong here...one of these things just isn't the same... 0 comments reply

I got bored making web sites, was never really hardxxxcore about it and have left them static for ages now. For those who care, sorry, I just got bored! Updates for the fanlisting will still be posted here. In fact, I hope to be moving it elsewhere in the near future. El 80% de esas veces son más de las 2 de la tarde. Y sin embargo, me sacan de quicio: El dequeísmo y el queísmo. Un 500% más si la persona está tan convencida de que los está diciendo bien que no acepta correcciones y se pone lerda. La típica confusión "impreso/imprimido". "Sí, bueno, ¡pero me has entendido!". El "son la una/es las dos". El "decir que..." así, en infinitivo. La pedantería. La censura con asteriscos de las palabrotas. "Sinverguenza/paragüas". La pérfida Albión y otras muchas construcciones bastante ralladas por el uso. La forma de hablar de los periodistas, con esas pausas a destiempo y esas expresiones absurdas. QUE NADIE SE PONGA DE ACUERDO EN CUÁL ES LA FORMA CORRECTA: ¿Iros, idos, íos... LARGAOS? ¡Necesito una certeza a la que agarrarme! 0 comments reply
