-Divas' Champion Maryse Ouellet, Alicia Fox, & Rosa Mendes d. Mickie James, Gail Kim, & Kelly K in a swimsuit match when Maryse pinned Mickie after the French Kiss DDT.
-Mike Mizanin d. Primo Colon with a full-nelson facespike after distraction by Carlito.
-Jack Swagger d. Montel Vontavious Porter with the Doctor Bomb.
-Mark Henry d. Chris Jericho via countout when Jericho walked out on the impromptu match. Jericho revealed that he had a clause in his contract that allowed him to name a substitute Tag Team Championship partner in the event of an injury to Edge(which coincidentally is exactly what happened).
-Hornswoggle d. Chavo Guerrero Jr. via small package(HAHAHAHAHA*gunshot*) in a match where Chavo had one hand tied behind his back.
-The Big Show d. Evan Bourne with the "Colossal Clutch". Kofi Kingston made the post-match save to set up a match on Superstars.
-John Cena, Triple H, & Seth Green(guest host for the night) d. WWE Champion Randy Orton & Priceless by DQ when the heels brought a chair into play. Seth stayed out of the action for the most part but did take a boot to the gut from Orton...Cena saved Seth from a potential head punt.

Next week's guest hosts: Z.Z. Top.

CN Real - Ahem, live action programming on a cartoon channel? What the heck are these guys thinking to fleeing their roots? Are toons in general just not popular anymore among kids? I guess that would explain why NBC, the CW and Fox got rid of all Saturday morning programming in favor of old 90s sitcom reruns. I'd have to wonder if the Cartoon Network will get a name change to the "Complete Network" and ditch its roots entirely?

Sarah Palin - If you're being bombarded with a bunch of trumped up charges that you have to continually waste hundreds of thousands of dollars on legal bills to prove them false and people talking s*** about your family and someone like David Letterman who is a mere shadow of his former self thinks its funny to joke about having sex with a 14-year old, and all this is to the point you can't do your job...I can't blame her for getting out. It's clear now any conservative is gonna have to enter the battlefield armed to the teeth and be prepared to massacre a bunch of grunts and fight to the death against these thugs.

Barack Obama - This guy is on track to become the worst president in our nations history and is actually moving to destroy the economy to get even for what happened two centuries ago. This is the guy you voted for...Robert Mugabe-lite. Destroy anyone who is successful and bring everyone down to a poverty level.

Chicago Mob - One of its members has come out and said they'd sabotage a show if they hate the promoter...or if I was running it. So my warning to you, don't listen to anything said by this "Johnson" guy. It's not credible.

That was a long day of wrestling...it was hot and humid outside in Dupo and we had a quick cloudburst that put the show in doubt. The matches didn't get started until around 6:30 and the Broadway show was held off for a bit while everyone made the trip.

Lineup notes: No Kahyman, so Blade faced Dave Vaughn and Phil E. Blunt only did a run-in(didn't even participate in the mini-battle royal for whatever reason). Texan vs. Bobby D only took place in Dupo while Static vs. Core and Alexis vs. Destiny took place at both shows(albeit with different results).

The main event was probably the best match at Dupo...good face vs. face battle, though the fans kinda turned on Jackson due to A.J.'s popularity. Have seen that happen before and it kinda happened with Courageous at the Broadway show as well. Williams didn't get all of the superkick...that's my explanation for why Gary rebounded so quickly and I'm sticking to it...and Jackson fell back into the corner. A.J. tried to follow up with a rana, Gary blocked for a powerbomb, Cloverleaf and out. Post-match mutual respect included some tension along the lines of "I'll win that belt eventually" and "Maybe you will, just not from me"...

The battle royal was a last-minute addition to the Broadway card...though notably the Battle Royal Champion(Big Texan) was not involved. Interesting that Vaughn won instead of Shaft(who was going for the Heavyweight Title later in the night).

Alexis stayed down for several minutes after the finish to the Broadway match...didn't get a clear look at the landing on the previously-mentioned backdrop but it appeared to be a close call. She finally got up and walked out with some help...saw her later in the night so hopefully it was just a scare.

Destiny may be one of the youngest Women's Champions in wrestling...she's still in her first year of wrestling. Not much depth in that division as I think she's only wrestled El Lobo and Alexis...she seems to do well as a heel though. Probably a good idea with a certain former titleholder on the way back to the ring...hint hint...

They didn't really clarify if the Vaughn-Blade match was for the Jr. Heavyweight Title, but I think Blade was above the mythical weight limit anyway.

Decent story to A.J. vs. Courageous as Johnny tried to keep him grounded and avoided the big aerial moves. They went to a time-limit draw in their previous matchup and this one was another draw...

The main of the Broadway show was probably the best Jackson-Shaft match I had personally seen...too bad about the lame DQ finish. Travis goofed in his pre-match mic work as he talked about Shaft having beaten Gary clean in East Carondelet only to find out after the fact that it was non-title...Gary had to remind him that it was Blunt that won that match and joked about how he can't keep his charges straight. (Will NOT make a joke about how the black guys all look alike to Travis...that would just be wrong...)

Looks like Keith has the itch to compete once again as it looks like he'll be in at least two more matches...hearing that Tony Casta would be wrestling was a shocker though. I don't know his exact age, but he's no spring chicken by any means. The flying headscissors looked good though. Someone needs to slap some sense into the face locker room if the not-so-retired commissioner and promoter are the ones making the saves all the time...

Anywho, next weekend is MECW in Wood River with Zach Thompson vs. Bailey Mannix in a dog collar match...Jordan McEntyre vs. Eric Allen with Allen's Peoria belt on a pole...and possibly Gabriel Brimstone vs. Krotch.

Jul. 11th, 2009 @ 11:45 pm Saturday Results(Including Both Broadway Shows)
Saturday MMWA-SICW results from Dupo, IL:

-Core d. Jaysin Static with an STO onto the knee straight into a standard STO.
-Alexis Lightfoot d. Destiny Diamond via TKO to retain the Women's Title.
-Shaft d. Blade via rollup w/ tights.
-The Big Texan d. Bobby D by catching him on the second turnbuckle and chokeslamming him to the mat.

Saturday MMWA-SICW results from St. Louis, MO:

-Jaysin Static d. Core with a Buff Blockbuster.
-Jr. Heavyweight Champion Dave Vaughn(w/ Travis Cook) won a seven-man battle royal. Eliminations: Static and Core eliminated each other, as did A.J. Williams and Johnny Courageous. Blade eliminated Shaft, but Vaughn dumped Blade from behind for the win.
-Destiny Diamond d. Alexis Lightfoot via tornado DDT to win the Women's Title. Alexis appeared to suffer a neck injury on the finish(she had landed badly on a backdrop earlier in the matchup) and was assisted from the ring.
-Jr. Heavyweight Champion Dave Vaughn(w/ Travis Cook) d. Blade via spear(I THINK it was non-title). Blade wanted another shot at Vaughn, but Travis said that Vaughn had beaten him twice and he needed to work his way back up the ladder.
-A.J. Williams vs. Johnny Courageous ended in a double pin...Courageous executed a rolling reverse cradle and attempted to bridge, but his shoulders were counted down as well. This marked the second indecisive finish between the two(they fought to a time-limit draw at last month's Broadway show).
-Gary Jackson d. Shaft(w/ Travis Cook) by DQ to retain the Heavyweight Title. Shaft came very close to capturing the title, but Jackson fought back and nearly got Shaft in the Cloverleaf. That brought out Vaughn and Phil E. Blunt to attack the champion. Commissioner Keith Smith made the save and dished out some of his signature knife-edge chops on Shaft...he also revealed that he's now officially licensed to wrestle again! Chaos continued after the match and Tony Casta took matters into his own hands, taking Shaft down with an old-school flying headscissors! Set up for next month's Broadway show: Jackson & Smith vs. Shaft & Blunt.

Your hosts are Dusty Rhodes & Byron Saxton...

El Sicodelico vs. Mr. Tyson Tarver: Not familiar with our new lucha import...cool mask though. Tarver overcomes an offensive flurry and wins with his swinging powerslam(Tarver's Lightning?).

Fletcher Chase interviews Joe Hennig; he had to relinquish the Heavyweight Title due to injury, but he's back and ready to gun for the gold once again.

General Manager Abraham Saddam Washington addresses the unwashed masses. He's appointing a cabinet...Minister Of Defense(and weapon of mass destruction) Troy Jackman...#1 draft pick Alex Riley(w/ Beverly)...his Secret Service members...and his new assistant G.M. Fletcher Chase. Dusty notes that Byron Saxton wasn't included in the Cabinet...hmm...

Backstage, Washington is caught "up close and personal" with Rosa Mendes...seems like she's getting a shot at the queen's crown. We also have a main event for the Heavyweight Title: Tyler Reks defends against Agent T in a lumberjack match.

Justin Angel vs. Tag Team Champion Trent Beretta(w/ Caylen Croft): Croft runs interference, as you might expect. The champs do have both belts again...guess Reks got tired of taunting them now that he has a new belt. Angel blocks the ropewalk DDT and hits a reverse rana, then follows up with the 450 Splash for the win over one of the Tag Champs!

Queen Angela Fong vs. Rosa Mendes for the crown: G.M. Washington comes out with his Secret Service and says that Rosa should be the queen. Washington says that Angela has to win within a minute or she loses the crown...oh, that's really fair. Angela tries a bunch of quick rollups in a row and Rosa tries to stall outside the ring. Sweet Papi Sanchez makes his entrance...Rosa retreats into the ring and gets rolled up for the pin. Angela retains the crown...so sorry, Rosa.

Really weird vignette for Eric Escobar...

Johnny Curtis vs. Kris Logan: Curtis has been out of action with an injury and he's ready to return to the top...he was conveniently left out of the match where he and Tyler Reks lost the Tag Team Titles to the Dudebusters. Logan turns up the aggression with a suplex on the floor...the momentum shifts and Curtis takes out Logan with the spinning heel kick, then finishes with a guillotine legdrop off the top rope.

Coming to FCW: Nightclaw.

Tyler Reks vs. Agent T for the Heavyweight Title, lumberjack match: It must be noted that the only lumberjacks are the Cabinet members...shock! Don't think I've seen Agent T in in-ring competition yet...he's one of about seven thousand second-generation guys under WWE contract. T is the first to be sent to the floor...the other Agents take their time and Reks drops the whole trio with a plancha. Riley eats a fist...Reks throws T back in and sets up for the Big Kahuna, but D distracts and T capitalizes with an electric chair. T tries to throw Reks out, but he hangs onto the ropes...that leads to the Cabinet members yanking him to the floor so they can dish out some abuse. Reks makes the underdog comeback and hits High Tide...for two. Big Kahuna hits and a Cabinet member yanks the ref out of the ring. Washington appoints Fletcher Chase as the interim referee...oh boy. Reks gets a rolling reverse cradle, but Chase refuses to make the count. Reks takes out Chase and hits the Burning Hammer on Agent T...the original ref revives for the count and the Cabinet attacks for the DQ. Riley lays out Reks with the Protobomb and the Cabinet is left standing over the fallen champion.

WWE Raw

Ted DiBiase was the guest host for the week...he came out with Priceless and appeared to be a heel, but then he booked Cody Rhodes against Mark Henry and booked Ted Jr. against Randy Orton in response to recent tension between the two.

Tag Team Champions Edge & Chris Jericho d. Carlito & Primo Colon(n/t) when Edge pinned Primo after a Codebreaker by Jericho and the spear. Carlito turned on Primo after the match...this won't do much to halt the "WWE hates tag team wrestling" rumors...

Mickie James & Gail Kim d. Divas' Champion Maryse Ouellet & Alicia Fox when Gail pinned Maryse after the Eat The Feet...wait, who is Maryse feuding with again?

Mark Henry d. Cody Rhodes by countout; Henry hit the World's Strongest Slam quickly and Cody took a walk.

WWE Champion Randy Orton d. Ted DiBiase Jr.(n/t) with the RKO after a good matchup. Backstage, Ted Jr. accused his father of setting him up to fail and even slapped him.

The VIP Lounge featured Jack Swagger as a guest to set up a new feud between Swagger and Montel Vontavious Porter...they brought some of MVP's background to light as Swagger noted that MVP served time in prison, but MVP said he paid his debt to society and now encourages people to avoid that path in life.

Evan Bourne d. U.S. Champion Kofi Kingston(n/t) with the shooting star press...wow. The Big Show destroyed both men after the match.

John Cena vs. Triple H was a tremendous matchup...with the semi-predictable finish of Legacy busting up the match for the no-contest and DiBiase making it a triple threat match for Night Of Champions.
