It had started out innocently enough. Betta George, using his telepathic abilities, had snuck into Spike's brain. What he found was (ahem, cough and blush) dirty and he liked it. After that he looked for excuses to follow Spike around. Betta George hadn't been in love for a long time, but he liked it.

It was slightly after that Betta George bought a leather coat, just to smell it.
He took up smoking, but kept coughing.
He even started watching Passions.

Then the fateful day came. Spike was tired, anxious and drunk.

"I'd give anything for a good shag," Spike said, knocking back another bottle of Jack.

"Yeah," Betta George said, hovering closer to Spike. "Me too."

Suddenly, impulsively Betta George kissed Spike. Spike, being a vampire, didn't mind the cold wet kiss, actually he kind of liked it. For a brief second the two worlds collided and Betta George thought that he was finally going to get his chance.

Then Spike pushed him back.

"We're bloody hell not doing that again."

"Of course not." Betta George blushed, as much as fish blush.

"No. Never." Spike said, taking another drag off his cigarette.

And then they kissed again.
