Because our theme challenges haven't been exceedingly 'challenging', I thought it might be helpful to myself and fellow mods to see who and what you all would like to icon more. So I compiled a list of actresses who have been in at least one major epic (sometimes trilogies or several fandoms) and would like to see who you would all prefer to see more of (or at all!). So please choose your top five action-savvy ladies. Up next will be the gents!

As the poll reads, 75% of members who voted would prefer to extend challenge lengths to a 7-day span. Coincidently, 75% of the moderators would also prefer the extensions. So! An update! For mods/banner makers: There has been a rule added to the list (#15) which says:

Banners should measure at or under 400 pixels wide and at or under 300 pixels in height. If multiple icons are to be placed on banner, exceptions can be made.

This was added both for the sake of web space and for a uniform look. Please also keep in mind that each entry you post is to be tagged.

When adding an entry, please remember to tag it. Please put the challenge number, the fandom, and the description of the post, and if there's a community poll or note attached, please include the tag "!info-post" or "poll". So, it should look like this: challenge 10, spider-man, winners.

Challenge 33 (National Treasure) Voting will be posted within the next few hours! It will end Thursday, September 4th at 11:59 PM and the winners will be posted soon after. Most importantly, I'd like to mention to fellow mods and members that our voting timeframe has been changed. It will now be ending on Sunday nights at 11:59pm, instead of Mondays at noon. The last 12 hours of voting never received any votes, so I thought we could save some time and spare some anticipation by shortening the voting period.

Next, for members and mods, as well, I'd like to start using a layout for entries that will hopefully help everyone when all is said and done. Some people are having difficult with HTML and LJ and that's totally fine. So here's the solution.

This rocks. I wish I could see icons from more of you, though. At any rate, I just wanted to drop in another poll, with summer coming on and everything.

The results from the 'open arms' poll had evenly matched feelings between 'I don't mind' and 'Sure!', with 8 votes a piece. So that's cool. It was asked if it was preferred that films like The Illusionist, The Other Boleyn Girl, Marie Antoinette and The Prestige be included in our films queue. So, look forward to some of those in future challenges. XD
