Welcome to [info]stereokiss, where we'll be serving all of your eclectic musical needs - indie pop, post-rock, J-urban, folktronica... you name it, we'll probably get around to talking about it here sometime! We're all passionate about the music we listen to, and we'd like to share some of that passion with the rest of you, so hopefully you'll have fun here and pick up some great tunes on your way ♥ We do a variety of things, like album reviews (we've been told we're very good at them), artist spotlights, mixes revolving around just about everything under the sun, even random discussions about the pervasive power of music in our daily lives.

There are essentially five of us who work together to bring you your weekly (and at times monthly!) dosage of sweet tunes. We're all a couple of crazy but well-meaning kids with a music addition that is more than unhealthy, which is probably good for you and probably a little bad for us - and in case you ever need a cheat sheet to get to know your mods, just look to the section right below! :)

[info]heureviolet: I'm Chantelle, nineteen years old, and one of those pretentious college undergrads whose iPod is made up of 90% indie rock and 10% guilty-pleasure-pop. Despite my propensity for bands that nobody outside of the ivory tower has probably heard of, I love (almost) all forms of music, including the much-maligned genres of rap, country, and classical. Aside from rocking out to my favourite tunes, I spend my free time browsing fashion blogs, wishing I could afford a closetful of gorgeous Chloe frocks, writing half-assed philosophy papers for school, and pretending my life is not in a giant rut. My favourite bands/artists include, but are not limited to: Oasis, Muse, Radiohead, As Tall As Lions, Farewell Flight, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Strokes, Kelly Clarkson, Feist, and the Pernice Brothers.

[info]hyoseon: My name is Jackie and I am a seventeen-year-old girl living in the US with a really screwed up imagination. In my spare time, I enjoy sleeping or drawing. Sometimes both at the same time, haha. I play the cello (badly lol), so I have an affinity for cello pieces by dead composers. For a career, I want to be filthy rich and beautiful. I don’t really like reading, but fortunately, my dream career entails no excessive comprehension of words whatsoever. I like music of all genres, but most of all, film soundtracks. Endearingly sarcastic, hopefully. Possible Napoleon complex. By day, I am an aspiring political communications student who dabbles in column writing and tries not to sleep through her classes. By night, I'm a fandom obsessed music snob who writes fanfiction and can hold her liquor quite well, thank you. Writing while drunk, however, is not advisable. I might insist that I don't listen to bad pop music while dancing in my closet. Don't listen to me. It's a dirty lie. My favorite bands are: Nirvana, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, The Libertines, The Beatles, Dirty Pretty Things, Babyshambles, the Clash, and R.E.M. I will be your obnoxiously pretentious alt-rock snob.

[info]msmoocow: I'm a Digital Media Arts major from the Silicon Valley, which implies that I should be some kind of geek. Sadly, I only wish I were that cool. I do love spazzing out over my various fandoms -- at the moment I'm quite taken with Harry Potter, Spring Awakening, Skins, Gossip Girl, bare: a pop opera, and Animorphs. Musically, I'm fairly predictable. i adore pop-rock bands with amazing vocalists and singer-songwriters who sing and songwrite from the heart. And I've got an extra special fetish for bands who utilize both male and female vocals. Artists: Melee, Anberlin, 1997, Vienna Teng, The Hush Sound, Straylight Run, Meg & Dia, Jason Mraz, Kate Nash, and the scores to various modern rock musicals

My main dream is to be a diplomat and work either for my country or for the world. I’m a person who’s life revolves around music, love, family, friends (making friends) manga, anime, food, fashion, shopping, making money, reading, watching movies, photography, arts and crafts, graphics designing, story writing, questioning the world, and living life to the fullest. 2. All uploads, naturally, will be for sampling purposes. Support the artists, delete the tracks after twenty-four hours from downloading... you know the drill, I'm sure.
3. Comment! It's the engine oil that keeps us all going. If you've ever opened a community for anything, I'm sure you know how it feels to put a lot of work into uploading something without really getting any feedback in return D: We thrive off comments - not to mention, it gives us a better impression of what you guys want to see from us. Even a simple 'thank you' usually suffices.
4. Have fun. What's the point of joining a music comm (or any comm, for that matter) unless you actually enjoy being there?
