Calm and reflective.

Ah... it's over there.

crw_0352_std
Mmmm, indeed.

I Want You!

crw_0365_std
What a pleasant afternoon....

Unmasked.

In these pictures I am wearing a lovely skull mask by Goblin Art, a men's surgical corset by Lovesick Corrective Apparel and a truly remarkable tailored frock coat by Kit Stølen.

As for me personally, I am the author of the Steampunk Magazine serial "An Unfortunate Engagement," and the short story "Sofia Athanatos" in The Willows Magazine (you can find additional information here).

If you want to meet me or see some of these things in person, your best bet it to come to my favorite night, Dances of Vice (you can also find them on Myspace).

I also came across some stuff on making high-button boots here, here and here.

They do. I bought a lovely corset from them a while back.

Wonderful costume. What does it feel like to wear the corset? I've worn many a corset in my day, but I'm a girl and we have extra bits... I'm writing a story with a male corset wearer and I'd love a boy's opinion.

It's actually quite comfortable. Naturally we boys don't have those lovely extra bits to be shifted around, so it's more an issue of back support and posture. Nothing really moves and it just keeps us standing up straight. With my height my back muscles sometimes get sore from prolonged standing if they don't have support.

I would adore some candy...oh wait, that was a metaphor, wasn't it?
Both outfits are astoundingly elegant, I must say. More men should wear corsets.
I am intrigued by the construction of your lady friend's coat.

Sorry, no real candy. Hopefully the eye candy is sufficiently sweet.

Very sinister. I approve. Any idea where your lady friend got her jacket?

Jaborwhalky Productions:

They do wholesaling of Lip Service, among other things.

You guys are the fabulous, I love these pics! BTW, what was your experience with Lovesick? I have long longed for one of her glorious corsets, but the last time I contacted her she was not working because of a sick kitty and the fact that her website is never updated makes me nervous.

I didn't have any problems with her, but if I recall it does take a while for her to make the pieces so it will be some time before you get the finished product. Otherwise, though, everything went fine for me.

Nice to see the old coat getting use... I think I took the sleeves up too much though... there should be enough in there to let them down a half inch or so.

might actually need an inch.... I don't know if I still have any of that wool... it was laying about for years afterwards, could put a cuff on it... I think it got ditched in the LA move.... the cuff can be faced though.

You might get a chance to touch it up as it looks like one of the Mags I am working for might be sending me out to CA for that huge thing they call "Comic con" to work.So you might be seeing us and that would be OK with me..

BTW we only have one more Dr to go till you have them all MAHAHAHAHAHAHAH,,,'''

I go sleep now..

*slow, awe-struck applause*

Cookie? Hell, take the jar...

Nicely done to strike a coup for the Reclamation of Interesting & Fun garments lately excluded to the Feminine sphere for too long....

Don't think I quite have the chops to sport male stays/corset. At least not externally (not counting the Halloween I when in Queen Anne drag).

Capital show!
