Golden Compass Wardrobe & Props

I just realized that I had taken pictures of the props and wardrobe from "The Golden Compass" while I was at San Diego Comic Con and thought some of you might like it. I thought the props were works of art and amazingly detailed.

Ooh, I saw those while I was there. Your photos turned out much better than mine, though!

I like the brass instruments; I haven't read the books in a long time, so I can't remember what they're supposed to be.

God, I really, really, REALLY need to finish that book before the movie comes out. I bought all three in the series and even the little "Lyra's Oxford" chapbook and haven't gotten to any of them!

I've sped through them so quickly in the past couple weeks (also in preparation for the movie). They are phenomenal! And so easy to get immersed in. I'm about halfway through the last one now, and just don't want them to end!

God, I can't wait to see this film. Parts of me are already there. And I want the gadgets in your pictures. No idea what the second one is, but it's NEAT!

Iorek! I'm going to cry if this movie isn't as good as it could be. I know it won't be.... I need to brace myself. I love these books more than any other fantasy novel of this decade. Please, hollywood, please don't fuck them up.

(My dream was to work on these films as a concept designer for the sets and costumes.... alas, it was not to be... maybe the amber spyglass)
