Hey. I'd like to take a moment to promote ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) wrenga_jixton, a new community dedicated to...you guessed it. At the moment I can't really comment on who the content is suitable for, given that there ISN'T any yet, but I hope people will join and change that.

I have updated the userinfo and rules just a bit. No drastic changes in terms of content, but I fancied it up quite a bit to make it more organized, and much better looking with a brand-new title image and matching default icon, etc. I made the community itself look slightly nicer, but given the nature of this community I don't think a fancy layout is necessary, at least not until I want something to do.
Also added to the userinfo: please read my "help wanted" message if you think you'd like to become a member of the starwarspromo staff.

| New Bail Organa community |

Only today it was announced that the community bail_lovers would be closing down. To date, this has been the only community dedicated to the Star Wars character Bail Organa. I am sad to see it go. Nevertheless, I decided to act fast in order to give Bail fans a new place to congregate. Hence, houseoforgana has been born.
I have literally just created this community only a few moments ago, and so it is blank in terms of userinfo, entries, and design; but I will soon take care of this, and I would like to see the community grow.
I am not allowed to post this advertisement in bail_lovers as new posts have been outlawed, so I hope to reach as many members as possible through the various Star Wars communities and promotion communities to which I am cross-posting this.
If you were a member of bail_lovers and would like to remain a member of the community, please join houseoforgana to continue on. If you know someone else who was a member, please pass along the message. If you were never a member of the previous community but are a fan of Bail, then please join as well! And, if possible, spread the word! |

We're just starting out, so it's the perfect time to join :) Jedi, Sith, Imperials, Rebel New Republic, and of course the scum of the universe: bounty hunters, mercenaries, etc.

I was just wondering how many people in Star Wars communities such as this one prefer not to listen to the whole "light side/dark side" thing and just see the Force as a whole. You know, one energy field that binds all. Which is what the Jedi teach, and yet somehow they believe that it has two sides, which, to me, makes no sense. I believe there can't possibly be two separate "sides" of it if it is one solid energy field - only different ways of using it. Some use it solely for good, others for evil, and others may use it however they please. If you agree with this idea, please let me know.
If you don't agree, please just ignore this post. You don't have to comment to tell me that you see it differently. I am not trying to start a debate here, but only to unite the people who feel this way.
The reason I ask is this: I have had a website for about 3 1/2 years that is dedicated to this idea. It is actually about the Warriors of the Force, an "order" of Force users who believe this. (This order is not a part of the official EU or anything, it is just something I made up, and in my spare time over the years I have created information, symbols, etc. for the order to put on this website - it is NOT a roleplay nor is there any roleplaying involved.)
Anyway, lately I have been considering creating an "official" LJ community for the website, where anybody on LJ who sees the Force in this more "balanced" light can get together and discuss. But I already have a few communities that have very few, if any, members, so I would like to make sure in advance that people would actually be interested in joining. If this is something you would be interested in, please let me know! It's something that I'd really like to do. I think it would be an interesting way of introducing both LJ'ers to my site, and my site's visitors to LJ.
If you'd like to help me get the word out, it would be nice of you to ask around other SW communities you may belong to, to see if anyone there would be interested as well.
If enough interest is expressed, the community will be created and I'll put the link to it on the website as the official community of the Warriors of the Force. The website itself is in the process of being redesigned and moved to a new webhost, so this probably wouldn't happen until the new site goes up, which may take some time, but I want to get this underway beforehand. I would also post here again to let everyone know that the community has been created.

A nice gesture after promoting a community here would be to add a link to starwarspromo in your community's userinfo and invite others with SW communities or websites to promote here as well. This is not a rule, but as I said, a nice gesture. I'd like to see this community get lots of visitors so it will really be a place where almost anyone can find the community they're looking for.

I have had a website for 3 1/2 years called "Warriors of the Force" which is about Force users who are not affiliated with either the light or dark "side" of the Force. I would post the link to the site, but it is somewhat under construction right now as I prepare to move it to a new webhost.
However, there are also the message boards that come along with the site, which we call The Comlink. Originally it was just a way for visitors of the site to contact me if they needed to, but after a while I expanded it a lot. As time goes on, I would really like to increase people's interest in the Comlink and get more members. It has been inactive for a very long time, but I have recently spruced it up a lot and would like to increase its traffic and get more people into it.
It is a forum where you can talk about anything you'd like. There are some forums for Star Wars-related talk, things related to the website it is/was a part of, and a few other specific forums as well as a general one where anything can be discussed. I think it could be a very interesting place when we have more members.
Right now, my favorite forums have to be the book reviews forum, where my husband and I have been writing reviews of various Star Wars books and posting them for other visitors to read, and the Dreams forum where we all post descriptions of the strange dreams we have had.
You don't have to sign up - guests can view everything and make posts in many forums as well. Then if you like what you see, you can join. There is also a forum for suggestions where members can give me ideas of what they think would make the place more interesting. I would really like to get the Comlink active and make it into a place where members can enjoy themselves.

The list is short right now, but it will grow. (Help us let everybody know about starwarspromo so it will grow faster!) Being inspired by crafty_tardis I decided it was about time I do a Star Wars Crafts LJ Community.
So behold -- starwarscrafts!
After writing endless Star Wars craft projects for Lucasfilm on starwars.com -- like the Bossk Bean Art portrait, Chewie Tissue Box Cozies, Yoda Felt Doll and a ton of others -- I figured I might as well start a group on LJ where we can all share our ideas!
Please join the community and post craft project ideas, questions, links you find to other Star Wars craftiness online or whatever! I want to make this a fun crafting community for all of us who can't help but geek out with a glue gun! |

A planet quite alot like its sister, Zonama Sekot, although far more powerful, and less ambivalent to the current state of the Galaxy. U'bedan Sekot generates a great amount of its power through trapped individuals, perhaps considered the most powerful in the galaxy. The force is alive on this world, and although U'bedan Sekot is quite interested in the current state of the galaxy, its location allows it to be outside of time itself.
A simple premise for a Star Wars game getting ready to open August 22nd! Most characters are open for play, and everyone is welcome to join! We'd greatly like to see this roleplay succeed, so feel free to check us out! While the premise is somewhat influenced by the NJO timeline, any and all Star Wars characters are open for play, and we'd love to see lots of players! It is a livejournal RPG, so if you have no experience in that sort of thing, feel free to e-mail me at SephyGirl [@] gmail.com or even send me a message on AIM at FFIXchick. We'd love to see more players and alot more characters. Most movie characters aren't taken, and only a few EU at this point, so check out the Taken characters list, and apply if it interests you!

If you answered "Yes!" or "Hell, yeah!" to any of the above questions, we've got the community for you. It's jedi_brothers and it's open to anything as long as it's related to Han and Leia's Jedi sons, Jacen Solo and Anakin Solo. We offer all of the following:
*Gen-oriented character discussions
*Monthly fic challenges (most are open to any genre of the author's choice)
*More Jacen/Anakin slash fiction than any other community (but we've got plenty of gen and a bit of het, too)
*A safe place for both canon and non-canon 'ship fic and discussion, including but not limited to Anakin/Tahiri, Jacen/Tahiri, Jacen/Tenel Ka, and Anakin/Mara

This comm is meant for discussions and other material about the Solo brothers, Jacen and Anakin, from the Star Wars Expanded Universe, and their relationship with each other. Whatever relationship you want to post and discuss. Doesn't have to be about them as brothers, or them as Jedi, or them as duelists - just them as something. Gen, het, and slash will all be found here. All we ask is that the fic has both Jacen and Anakin in it, and if there's a focus on their relationship, that's extra awesome. There will be Jacen/Anakin slash in many posts as well. This is a 'shipping comm for Jacen and Anakin, although we go by the dictionary definition of "relationship," which could mean friends, siblings, lovers, enemies, co-workers, and lots of other things, and combinations thereof. Romance is not necessary, but is included in the possibilities.
