This community is dedicated to the universe and characters of Star Trek as seen in the latest movie, hence the name "Star Trek Alternate". Please note that this community may deal with some very mature, adult themes.

- What's permitted:
Discussions about the movie and its characters, reviews, news, fun or weird stuff, fanfiction and fanart, and general fangirl or fanboy squee. :D - What's not allowed:
Discussions about the actors' private lives.
Flaming - Keep your comments civilized and your feedback constructive if you have something negative to say.
The How
- Fanfiction: fanfiction must be strictly about the characters and events of this particular Star Trek verse and they can range from PG to NC-17. Het, Gen and Slash are all welcome. Please make sure that your stories are well identified when it comes to rating. Everything except the header of your story (title, author, rating, warnings if applicable) must be put under a cut or linked to.
- Fanart: any kind of art is accepted from icons, to banners, to wallpapers, to photomanipulations, to digital paintings and drawings. Same thing applies here for ratings and everything must be put under a cut or linked to.
