I'll begin by stating that the subject title translates in non-stephie-speak to "Random Question", lol.
Ok, so now that's cleared up, let us move rapidly on to the point of my post. It concerns the Star Wars Novels, or more specifically their timeline. I've got, I would say, about 60% of the published novels (not including graphic novels or e-books, which I will be collecting as soon as the main novels are all purchased), and in true SWGeek style I have to have them on the shelves in chronological timeline order.
Now, what's made me a little confused is that all the resources I can find online, giving the most up-to-date title list in order, place the 'Junior Jedi Knights' series at approx. 23 ABY, and the 'Young Jedi Knights' series after that at 24 ABY. However, one of the JJK novels is entitled "Anakin's Quest". This is one I don't yet have, but I know that this and most of the JJK novels tell the tales of young Anakin Solo and his friend's after they join Luke's Jedi Academy. The problem is though that during the YJK series it is said around the "Lightsabers" & "Darkest Knight" time that Anakin has not yet joined but will one day.
Has anyone out there got all the novels, and been able to determine if this is just an error based on ther series names and assumptions of timeline, or do the JJK and YJK series in fact mix up and intertwine?

Please Note -- a knowledge of Star Wars is NOT necessary in order to participate in this role-play. I am willing to explain anything that you need to know to you in order for you to play a particular character.
At was writing a Star Wars AU fanfiction several years ago on other sites. In this fanfiction, I had various Star Wars characters write to other characters -- explaining to other characters what is going on in the story. The result of this is that a fanfiction is written from the perspectives of the characters, while they interact with each other. The story begins before The Phantom Menace and will go all the way up through Return of the Jedi. Right now, the story is almost at the end of The Phantom Menace. That is where I had to stop because of time contraints from school and other things. However, I decided to start it up again. I need characters. These Notes will be posted in their own community, and also on a proboards forum.
For those who participate, you get to pretend to be a character and have influence on other characters, as well as the overall story. There are boundaries, though.
The reason that this fan fiction will be classified as AU is because, while generally following the story line of the movies, there are certain points that will be different. Also, there are additional characters and events. There are also questions that are answered in this fanfiction that are not covered in the movie. (Like how and why did Dooku become a Sith, what was Palpatine doing behind the scenes that caused everything to happen the way that it did, what would happen if Anakin was really able to free his mother, just how deep was the love between Anakin and Padme and how did it develop, etc.)
This fan fiction will take you through the events of the movies, and you will get to see these events through various different characters' eyes.
I will not post the fanficiton to this group unless the group owner specifically wants me to.
If interested in participating, please either reply to this or send me a private message. (A private message would probably be better. That way I see it for sure).

Star Wars author, and all around great guy, Aaron Allston has suffered a heart attack, and after undergoing surgery is currently recovering. He wrote several of the Xwing books that are among my favorites, and has been an active author throughout the last two decades.

Hello, hello.
A new multi-fandom role playing game, would love to get a strong group of Star Wars role players together for it. I've posted this message in a few other fandoms and we've had great luck bringing casts together, and I hope to do the same here. No one is taken at the moment, but I'm sure if we could get a few players to start, the rest might follow. :)
The plot of the game revolves around mythology and time travel, so these should be a blast for the characters. The story starts out with your character receiving a personalized ticket tempting him or her to go check out an isolated castle. Who sent the ticket is a mystery and what it says is most likely a lie. Unfortunately for your character by the time he or she arrives it's too late and they're trapped on the grounds. Eventually you'll discover the castle has a series of buttons allowing you to shift between different periods in the castle's history -- prehistoric time, a war torn future, and a hedonistic golden age. Each time period has different situations and new secrets to unlock that will eventually unravel the mystery behind why your character was summoned to the castle and by whom...
We're in this game for the long haul and completely committed to its success, and we'd love for you to join us. The game opened on March 7th, and already has an active following. Come be among the first to arrive and contribute to shaping of a new game before it gets big.
