This was written for jenish for the 2005 sspr0n challenge; my card never arrived, but jenish and I decided that I should post it anyway. I know -- it's not pr0n, I only managed two of the prompts (a leaking pen, fluff with some bittersweetness, clumsy-sweet kissing, and an unexpected gift), and it's not quite the 1000 requisite words.... 4:35 pm [jenish]	Signups are now CLOSED I'm so sorry, I meant to do this on Thursday, but it was my girlfriend's birthday, and then my headcold knocked me for six and gah. The signups for sspr0n Secret Santa 2005 are now CLOSED. I'll leave the poll post open for another 24 hours just in case (I also meant to post a reminder a week ago. Bad mod, no cookie), and send out assignments on Monday. Thank you to everyone who's participating! You'll have until December to write and mail the stories, and don't forget to include a card (I was assuming everyone would want a Christmas card, but it occurs to me that some might not, so email me _jamjar@livejournal.com or drop a comment on this post if you don't want a Christmas card, and specify what kind of card you do want - general or specific seasonal, that sort of thing), and don't post or archive the story until it's been received. Post to the community when you receive your story, and when sending it, don't forget to include your livejournal username so your recipient knows who to thank. 9:06 pm [jenish]	The 2005 Secret Santa Pr0n challenge is open! Signups will be open until 8th September, so there's plenty of time to join and take part if you're not already a member - details here. Don't forget to add the community to your friendslist once you've been approved (or before!). So far we have 15 members, but the more members we get the more likely it is there'll be someone to fill your challenge. 9:58 pm [jenish]	Welcome to 2005's Secret Santa Pr0n! How this will work Similar to the format of slashy_letters and snail_mail_porn, the challenge is to write a requested piece of fanfiction or original fiction before a certain deadline and send it in the post to the recipient. The fic must not be posted until the recipient has posted to the community saying they have it; then it can be posted/linked to in the community. A sign-up poll will be posted for members to enter the challenge, at the beginning of August. The poll will be open for one month, and the challenges sent out in the second week of September. Participants will then have three months to write a requested fic of 1,500 words or more. Fics should be mailed to the recipient by 7th December, with a Christmas card. Everyone writes one fic and receives one fic, and no one knows who will be their author, hence the Secret Santa part. What fandoms will be included At present, the fandoms in mind for requests are: *Lotrips *Lord of the Rings FPF *Harry Potter *Lost *Buffyverse With the addition of: *original fiction If a particular fandom is popular with the suggestions, we may add it to the list. How to become a member Membership is moderated, because the challenge requires you to give your postal address to a stranger.
