This is for all of those people out there that love to watch the fuzzy little creatures out in their backyard or wherever they might pop up.
I became a squirrel lover when I became the mother of 2 baby gray squirrels. I found them when they were 2 weeks old laying on the ground. So I brought them in and raised them. I found them on Sept 2, 2002 and Sweetie was released into the wild July 2004 and Chubby left in October 2004.
I now am caring for 2 new squirrels that I got because of Hurricane Ivan that blew through September 2004 and blew their home down. Their names are Ivey & Windy. I've taken them outside a few times to release them, but they don't want to have any part of outside. I guess they are recalling the last time they were out there when the storm come through. So, they are pretty much taking up residence with me for now. Which is OK for me.
Update October 2005, I still have Ivey from Hurrican Ivan, but I have released Windy, she was let go in September. I have 2 new squirrels Katie & Abby that I got from Hurricane Katrina.
Please feel free to post any pictures that you have of your backyard buddies. Wither it be, gray, flying, fox or any type of squirrel. I would love to see them. Or any other wildlife pictures would be great too.
