Hello! I hope this post is all right, since it isn't exactly the same as fic or fanart...
I completed a set of icons at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) iconaday recently, all Legion based. I have most if not all versions of the Legion represented in at least one icon, but most are either cartoon, pre-Crisis, or early postboot. Since it was an 'icon a day' challenge, some are better than others, aheh, but I hope there's at least a few that'll appeal to old-school or newer fans.

Title: Caught Off Guard

Characters: Brainiac 5/Lyle Norg
Era: Classic for Brainy, Combination of the DCAU for Lyle - Lyle's belt graphic is wrong on purpose. Brainy's ring matches, though you really can't see it. :(
Summary: Getting Lyle back to his own universe was proving more difficult than Brainy wanted to admit. Though the reason for that was had more to do with Brainy not actually wanting Lyle to return than his inability to get him there. It wasn't as if Lyle's universe was a bad one, either. At least, not since 1000 years earlier when the Justice Lords were wiped out, strangely enough by the Justice League of brainy's universe. It was just, Brainy missed his friend since his Lyle's death and seeing him again, working with him, brought those memories to the fore front, along with a whole new set of emotions.
Unfortunately, it was a little over a month since Lyle's unexpected arrival and neither of them could put off working on the portal any longer. It was mostly quiet, no real emergencies to distract him, so Brainy reluctantly found himself working on the device to send his friend home. He moved toward the filing cabinet where he kept backup copies of almost anything important, and opened the drawer intending to pull out some information previously gathered, when an invisible arm wrapped around him and Lyle slowly phased into view. The shorter man pushed up on his tiptoes, leaned forward and proceeded to greet his friend in a manner that was definitely more than friendly.
