Spike/Angel - Belonging
Motivation: In this layout I wanted to show a scene that could remind something warm, comfortable, mostly because we have a rainy and cold Autumn here (I now most of you have Spring right now) and I wanted to feel some warmness, even if through a layout. Plus, the banner with the two of them dressed in wool reminds me of coziness and the coziness makes me think about closeness, intimacy, which I tried to put together in the word belonging. This could be a scene with the shanshued vamps or just a situation where exceptionally they wouldn't be wearing black.

Style: S2 Bloggish
Title: Spike/Angel - Belonging
Best view: 800x600 and higher.
Browser(s) Compatible: Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera.
Maker: [info]amavel_bel (Mabel). Credit me in your user info page.

| SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS |

Preparing the code:
- Copy the CSS code and paste it in the Notepad.
- If you decided to host the images in your own server, replace every i38.photobucket.com/albums/e107/bel_layouts/btvsats122 by the server address where you uploaded the images.

Configuring the layout:
- In the LJ page, go to Journal >> Change Journal Theme.
- If you're using S1 style do the following. If not, skip this step: Click in the link Switch to S2 in the blue box on the right side of the page. Then, click in the button "Yes, I want to upgrade to S2".
- In the 2. Select a New Theme section, type Bloggish in the search box. Then select the theme called Unstyled (last page of the gallery) and click in Apply Theme.
- In the 3. Choose a Page Setup section at the bottom of the page, choose "2 Column (sidebar on left)" and click in the button "Apply Layout".
- Then click in the button Customise your theme, in the bottom on the right side.
- Click in the option Custom CSS and under Use layout's stylesheet(s) choose Yes (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!). Then copy the CSS from the Notepad and paste it in the field Custom stylesheet.
- Then you can navigate through the links in the Customize Your Theme and personalize other things as you wish, like going to the Text option and entering personalized texts to the Page and Navigation, for example.
- Click in the button Save Changes and it's done.

I just changed it out today. It's very pretty - thanks so much. I've got you credited on my user page at the top.

Did have a quick question though... is there a way to "lose" the page summary box, along with the other two beneath it? If not, it's no big deal.

I've uploaded one of your layouts you did last year for my friend [info]spikesdeb. Everything looks great, but when she's skimming her flist, the margins are off for some reason. I've tried looking at the code to see if I could fix it myself, but I can't find anything amiss. Help please?? *bats lashes*
