We are a community devoted to book 7: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. All things pertaining to DH are welcome here, including icons, commentary, speculation, fanart, fanfiction, etc.

Please keep the following things in mind if you would like to post something in our community:

1) We will tolerate NO FLAMING here. Please word your comments and posts in a respectful manner and keep all criticism constructive, not destructive.

2) Please make sure your posts are DH related - there are a lot of other HP communities out there. If you post DH icons here you may include other HP related icons.

3) We are a SPOILER community so no lj-cuts are required for book spoilers, however, "normal" community rules apply in regards to cuts. Please put long posts, anything containing sex/violence/and foul language under a lj-cut. We also require you to use the standard rating system of: NC-17, R, PG-13, Pg, and G. Please submit only high quality entries (edit, check spelling, grammar, etc).

4) If you would like to post an advertisement for another Harry Potter related community or website that is fine, but please limit your post to one only and keep it short!

Might i ask a silly question? since i've only seen the US editions up close...do the the other versions not have artwork for each chapter?

Well, I'm still going to the Midnight party, I guess. I just won't bother reading it that night when I get home. There were some parts I had to skip over because it was too blurry.

And the epilogue sucks.

Because the translated versions of the books come out six month later or so. Only English versions will be sold on saturday, regardless of the country you are in.

I kept telling people it was real, it's easier if people accept it and get used to the idea of the epilogue, because the rest of the book is actually quite good.

And there comes a moment [hopefully] when you get over your murdering rage over a fanfic ending, and begin to enjoy the book enough to realize that maybe you can get over, or forget about the shitty epilogue and enjoy the rest.

Plus people will get all kind of cracky ships on the epilogue, you get ASS, TV, and LJ, those are like the coolest ship names ever. :D

I can accept almost everything in the book if it's real (which looks to be the case). The only thing I can't accept is the fact she didn'twrite a death scene for Remus and Tonks. It's not like they were characters that were only mentioned once, they deserved much better than the send off they got. That I cannot forgive her for and she better have a damn good explanation for killing them off in the first place.

LMAO! I have been reading in here for most of the day and I have to say it's been interesting. I have laughed so much and so hard it's beggining to hurt! Nothing is going to be set in stone until we have the book in our hands. We can whine, we can laugh, we can cry, we can call JK horrible names, we can praise her, etc, etc, etc. But no one will be happy and satisfied until they open the book for themselves. And then we'll start all over again. It will never end. We won't let it. Fan fiction will always be alive and well. She'll never please all of her fans and that's why we write stories. In the mean time, we come here to vent, to laugh, to share ideas, and to mourn. Long live HP!
