| A bunch of general rules to get you started: • join the community it's quick and easy and you'll be able to see all the locked posts; • watch the community as well to keep up with all the latest updates; • personal drama between members is absolutely not allowed, bring it outside the community, thanks; • please be sure to tag your post properly, more on this point below; • put fanfics, large images, large embedded medias and long posts in general behind an lj-cut, learn how to do an lj-cut here; • spoilers for the sequels MUST be put under a cut with a proper spoiler warning, if you're not sure what you're going to post is spoilery or not, ask one of the mods or simply put it behind the cut, just to be sure. Ruining the fun to people who want to stay spoiler-free is a NO NO; • any kind of bashing (of an author, of a fic, of a character, of a ship that's not Spock/Uhura and so on) is absolutely not tolerated, people have different likes and dislikes, and there's no couple better than other, right? RESPECT everyone's opinion and everything will be okay; • if you're posting something you didn't make then GIVE CREDIT TO WHO DESERVES IT and do NOT claim other people's works as your own: you'll be banned; • NSFW/Adult content MUST be put under a cut as well, with a proper warning; • please don't link to locked posts in your journal. You can however state somewhere in your post to the community that you're going to lock your entry in a certain amount of time; • if you're posting download links LOCK YOUR POST; • don't disable comments to your post. You want to receive comments about your work in your journal? Then say it in your post, but don't disable comments when you post over here; • don't delete comments in ANY topic/thread, thanks; • racist posts and/or comments towards Uhura will grant you THE QUICKEST BAN EVER. Your post/comment will be deleted and you'll be banned. You don't like the couple? | THINGS YOU CAN POST TO THE COMMUNITY: • check the community's tags to see if what you want to post has already been posted or not; • discussions post related to Spock/Uhura and/or Star Trek XI, just remember that this is a S/U community, so if you want to ask something concerning Sulu or Chekov or any other character, this is not the right place to do so; • videos: whether it's a fan made video, or a clip from the film/series, or atrailer, it's fine; • picspams from the films/series that focus on Spock, Uhura or both of them. Single characters picspams or general picspams that include Spock, Uhura or S/U scenes are fine, just keep in mind that posting Spock/Kirk or Uhura/Scotty picspams or any other couple it's not allowed; • pics, official stills, promos from the films/series that include Spock and/or Uhura. If you're posting pics from the Star Trek 2009 sequels please please be sure they're not spoilery, otherwise put them behind a cut with a proper spoiler warning. • pictures of Zachary Quinto AND Zoe Saldana TOGETHER outside the film: Zachary pics or Zoe pics do not belong here, check the affiliates for communities entirely dedicated to them. The same applies to Nichelle Nichols and Leonard Nimoy the original actors; • fanfics/fanarts focused on the couple: Spock and/or Uhura must ALWAYS be present in your fic/art. If you want to post a general fanfiction about the whole crew where Spock and Uhura are mentioned just a couple of times, then this is not the right place to share it, check the affiliates for general Star Trek communities; • icons/graphics focused on the couple: if your icons/graphics are part of a multifandom post please put only Spock and/or Uhura teasers outside the cut or fake cut, then link back to the others. You can post your graphics directly to the comm with a normal lj-cut or using a fake cut that links back to your journal/community. If you're going to lock your post after a certain amount of days please state it somewhere in your post to the community, thanks; • articles and news related to the film and sequels, or interviews with the actors/director/writers that are somehow related to Spock/Uhura. Remember to include a proper source when posting this kind of content; • recs post are also fine, but PLEASE remember that we have a WEEKLY REC POST up every Friday for all your recommendations needs; • requests posts are fine, just don't flood the community asking fanfics, or icons or fanvideos. Use your common sense :) su_fic_request is a good place to request S/U fanfics, check it out!THINGS YOU CAN'T POST TO THE COMMUNITY: • icons, graphics, fanfics of the actors themselves: no RPF allowed. Check salinto for all your Zoe Saldana/Zachary Quinto needs;• community promotion is not allowed. Wait for Weekly Pimping Posts where you can pimp your community/site. Remember that communities that have NOTHING to do with Star Trek or the actors can't be promoted here, so if you want to pimp a, let's say, Heroes community, well you can't, sorry; • introduction posts. You can introduce yourself in THIS POST and in this post ONLY. What you can do, though, is introducing yourself when posting something else: for example, it's the first time your posting a fanfiction to the comm? Then it's more than fine to include a small introduction at the beginning of your entry, before the actual fanfiction. Anything else can be optional :) • how to post a fanart; • how to post icons/graphics; HOW TO TAG YOUR POST: • you can find all the available tags right here; • members can't add new tags, only moderators can do that. If you think we need a new tag please let us know.
