Well, head on over (and send your friends) to the Request Post for the Fourth Annual WinchesterCon Vid Show.

We've had amazing shows year after year, and I can hardly wait to see what people do with the latest footage.

The Con is in Denver this year, October 9-11, 2009, and we're really excited about it! If you've never gone, you should really consider attending. It's absolute blast -- by the fans, for the fans, it's a huge pajama party with all of your favorite people. Let me know if you want more information, and you can check out the official Con Comm winchestercon for details as well.

But, in the meantime, get those vids started. Deadline isn't for another two months, and each vidder is allowed to submit up to three entries. I just know this is going to be the best year ever!

Luv Song, by danegen. A lively tongue in cheek tribute to Misha Collins and his over-adoring possibly creeper fans. But it's FANDOM, yo, and all bets are off. Nice use of various sources, including stills and interviews woven in with the original source from the series. Watch this if you're having a crummy day and need to be cheered up by the awesome that is Misha + fandom. (Or disturbed a little. Take your pick.)

Why you’re reccing the vid: Obsessive24 is made of awesome in general when it comes to vids, but this is the first Supernatural vid she has made. The amazing use of outside footage just gives the vid an epic feel and such depth. It's Dean/Castiel, but I have to say I don't ship any such pairing and I still found it an amazing character study. It's just fabulous imagery and details that really draw the eye. Just stunning! Go watch it! \o/

Why you’re reccing the vid: This is one of my favourites. I love the unique colouring and the fact that, while this vid is undeniably Supernatural and it shows the pain the boys have gone through, it still manages to be uplifting. They're road-tripping, they have their car and each other and life could be worse. It's just such a nice balance. :)

Why you’re reccing the vid: I haven't seen any of wordplay's previous vids and just stumbled on this one today while bumbling around the vid comms, but I like it. The song works really well for the emotional story arc of S4, with the guys keeping secrets and generally seeming to be on completely separate paths. This one's definitely worth a look. :)

Why you’re reccing the vid: The only coherent comment I could make on this vid was "wow!" and after several watches I'm still kinda stuck there. I'll try to do a little better than that though. This vid is a really brilliant study of Castiel's character, but it also covers all of the recent angel story-arc featuring Dean, Sam and Anna among others. It just really hits all the right points of S4 for me and the song was simply MADE for this! It's just fabulous! Go watch! \o/
