the Supernatural Mystery Years

WHO WE ARE This is a community that focuses on fiction, artwork and videos set during the mysterious "Stanford Years". Every month, we will post a topic. These posts will set the guidelines for YOU to post prompts in the comments. Posts for prompts will not necessarily follow any particular timeline, but they will all fall into the 3 or so year period Sam attended Stanford. Crack and AU is acceptable as long as it can be tied back to the canon storyline.

An example of a monthly post for prompts:
"Dean is 22 years old and Sammy just left for Stanford. Please tell us what happened next."

Interested people would then post prompts in the form of a picture or a brief description of setting and circumstance. We will collect the prompts and then post them for claiming in a separate post. Claiming for prompts can include vids, art, and fanfiction in all categories including slash, gen, and het. All pairings are welcome ~~except daddy!cest because it makes blincolin weep~~. Artists are welcome to claim more than one prompt, just don't go overboard so there's nothing left for others.

You will have one month to claim and post your response to the prompts. All claims must be posted within 30 days of claiming. You must be a member to claim a prompt, but you do not have to be a member to place a prompt. If you have a suggestion for the next month's topic, you can comment in the previous month's closing post.

We will post prompts at least once every 30 days depending on activity & interest, so STAY TUNED

COMMUNITY OBJECTIVE As much porn and angst as humanly possible, kthanx.

RULES The obvious: no flaming. Not one of the maintainers has a qualm about banning anyone who causes a problem.

PLEASE DO NOT POST SPOILERS FOR EPISODES THAT HAVE NOT YET AIRED IN THE US, and keep recent spoilers for aired episodes under a cut - with a warning - for our friends who may not be as lucky as you.

Posting guidelines are here. All posts should clearly define the challenge you are responding to, rating, pairing, spoilers and any warnings. If you're unsure - it's better safe than sorry, so go overboard. You are also welcome to crosspost to all applicable communities - pimp it like we know you want to.

Submissions should logically be tied to what is known in canon - Alternate Universe fic/art/vids must be based on information drawn from aired episodes and other canon-based resources.

And finally? Have a fucking ball.
